Where the skaap eats Karoo bossie! I am a city boy originally from the countryside thats been chasing the proverbial dream by running the ratrace for the last ‘couple’ of years. This rat got tired of it, and has now decided to return to his roots. Not just half-asses. Properly. The plan is to find land in the middle of the Karoo where there’s wide open vlaktes (flatlands) but also a couple of koppies (hills) and start a new life. A different life. I was thinking more like someplace with culture and not much of anything else, because of course we wouldn’t want to upset the skaap, they might just form a vicious vlakte gang and pop a cap in my city ass! Oh, before I forget (which I’m famous for in some circles), I’ve decided to pursue my life long dream to breed sheep in the Karoo. For those with very active imaginations, that means male sheep with female sheep, somewhere in Karoo bossies where I can’t see. Sies! Fraserburg might be good for inspiration though, according to KarooHoogland. Even the great poet AG Visser lived here. Just what I need!
