New Year's Day 2007 Ruth Arcand Park. We started the New Year at midnight with friends, standing on our deck and watching firework displays all over Anchorage. Paul found some noise makers in the garage, and he and Jim popped them off into the snow. This afternoon we took a quiet walk, just us, in a park near our house. We talked about resolutions and I think mine from last year. The Peace Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. Lord, make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred, let me sow love.

Mountain biking women in the last frontier. Thursday, May 21, 2015. A large, enthusiastic group of Divas showed up for our first dirt ride of the season. WOO-HOO! We rode Campbell Tract dirt and gravel trails and had a fun, fun time! Michelle provided the Woo-Hoos, Ya-hoos and and Yippees, clinching her spot as Most Excited Diva of the Day! Ashley proved that young legs, perhaps, are better, and some of us were jealous of them. Rose to the rescue - AGAIN! It doesn't look like anyone is having a bad time!

Smaller creeks were flowing but still snow filled. Here's where the rain started just before the steepest part of the climb. this is where we were reminded that 45 and raining is cold. Katherine's Cooking Challenge. January 30, 2013. So I was on my way home from class tonight and had this brilliant idea to make Bisquick biscuits (or scones). I couldn’t decide between adding cinnamon and sugar or chocolate chips, but went with cinnamon and sugar and they turned out delicious! Maybe I’ll try chocolate chips next time! 2 1/4 cups Bisquick. 1 Preheat oven to 450. 3 Put heaping spoonfuls of batter onto cookie sheet. 4 Bake 9 minutes or until golden brown. Cheesy Broccoli Mashed Potatoes.
