Volume II: Heart Healthy
http://kathrynzj.blogspot.com/2013/10/heart-healthy.html
VOLUME II: When the lessons of the past catapult you into the future. Sunday, October 20, 2013. I was usually the 1st girl chosen after the boys, sometimes second after Dawn who was a fleet forward compared to my willing but slow soccer speed. But on this day on the playground, the first girl chosen was Liz. As my friends and I gathered around the lunch table later I lamented, "Liz? She doesn't even know how to play soccer, all she did was lean against the goal post and look pretty.". Truly – and s...

VOLUME II: When the lessons of the past catapult you into the future. Sunday, June 19, 2011. In the Big Inning. June 19, 2011. Summer Sermon Series: Baseball. Today is Father’s Day and although I of all people realize that it is important to be wary of stereotypes – not all men like sports, not all women like to cook – I did think when the request came in for a sermon topic of baseball that today would be a fun day to do it. Whether you like the game or not you have probably heard or spoken a phrase that...
Volume II: The Sacred and the Profane
http://kathrynzj.blogspot.com/2015/03/the-sacred-and-profane.html
VOLUME II: When the lessons of the past catapult you into the future. Thursday, March 5, 2015. The Sacred and the Profane. My guess is every profession when mixed with the personal can get a bit surreal. In the middle of picking out pictures and printing them out the phone rang. It was the niece of a beloved parishioner - he had been admitted to hospice. I found out the details, hung up the phone. found the glue and the scissors and kept the project going. I'm exhausted by the sacred. In the Big Inning.

Someone Different to Everyone: October 2009
http://identitymixed.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Someone Different to Everyone. Ramblings on parenthood, religion and culture by a Mommy with definite opinions. Wednesday, October 14, 2009. The boys are now 4 and 2 and I am just amazed at how every day gets easier. Not only have I settled into the role of "mother" officially. yes, after nearly 5 years, but they are aging and maturing at a rapid pace. I can finally use logic with both of them and it creates less temper tantrums - all around. And, now even 3 months later, I feel rested. Links to this post.

Someone Different to Everyone. Ramblings on parenthood, religion and culture by a Mommy with definite opinions. Monday, December 21, 2009. Last week was an odd one for me. Food, Faith and Being Fabulous. A foodie's guide to life or a seminarian's guide to food, and other things. About the Reverend Chef. No Longer Is There A Sense of Hopelessness. Inspired today by Nadia Bolz-Weber's post. Rick Perry, poop and fart jokes. That should be enough comedic fodder for a while. (:. VOLUME II: When the lessons of the past catapult you into the future. Thursday, March 22, 2018. Every article I read has been pushing me to do a better job telling stories. Here is where I'll practice. I was carting my son around earlier today to a dentist appointment when he mentioned out of the blue how weird my job is. I'm a pastor. He's 13. That comment could have meant just about anything. Except when I can't. And then my brain whispers, "Except when I can't.". Thursday, March 22, 2018. Full disclos...
