Monday, December 27, 2010. My kids have cooties. At least, that's what they tell me they have. Ivy came into my room this morning all squiggly with her shirt off. She says, "mom, I have the cooties again! Yep, I'm all itchy on my skin so I have the cooties"! Then she takes off the rest of her pj's, throwing them on my rustic furniture. This has been a particularly difficult winter as the three of us have had a myriad of illnesses ranging from sinus infections to bronchitis. If only spring would get here. Wednesday, January 4, 2012. Our scars remind us that the past is real. January 4,2010 I got on the plane with Mike and Missy and my LIFE packed in two 50 pound suitcases and a carry-on. I spent a few days with them while they did some paper work for Tia’s adoption and then on Thursday January 8. They dropped me off at the orphanage. Those first 5 days were really hard! Tuesday, January 12 came and actually started out as a really GR8 day! The earthquake was at 4:30ish pm on the 12. I came home on the 16.

Thursday, May 28, 2009. I Love Edinburgh. (Pronounced edinbura.). Janelle and I woke up at 4 in the morning to catch our 6:30 flight. When we arrived in Edinburgh, we went straight to out hostel to take a wee little nape. Then at 10:30, we went on the free walking tour: which was awesome! The girl in the plaid with the red bow in her hair is our tour guide, Andra. She was incredible. She was from Canada, which a surprising amount of young people in Edinburgh are from!
