We all know there are lots of charities raising funds for research and that the research programmes cost millions of pounds to carry out. Katie Walker Cancer Trust sponsors the international MaGIC Consensus Meetings which enable top consultants around the world to discuss the best treatments and course of action to take with Teenagers and Young Adults suffering with Germ Cell Tumours.

The news at this time was bleak with certain doctors saying recovery was extremely rare. Katie being the fighter she was endured 6 months chemotherapy followed by more surgery and yet again this brave courageous girl defied all odds to pull through.
