Tuesday, December 4, 2007. My last post.probably. Leaving Liesbeek was stressful. Akim, my roommate from Zambia, was adorable and insisted on getting pictures of me, him, and Lily together. Sunday, October 21, 2007. Last night South Africa's rugby team beat England 15 to 6 in an outstanding game in St.Denis. I was at the Springbok pub for the game, and I must say I got pretty into it. I think I will have to buy a jersey now. More attractive than England. Better teeth than England. Let me put it this way. South African Flag: R50 ($7). 4 Ciders: R46 ($6.50). Friday, October 19, 2007. Spurned by the jammie. Speaking of rugby. TOMORROW = EPIC HISTORY. The Rugby FINALS. England vs. South Africa. Colonizer vs. Former Colony. This is important. I don't know anything about rugby except that it's violent, but I am going to the pub tomorrow and rooting for South Africa to cut England. We need this. While waiting in line at the U.S. embassy, a preacher named Johnson starts up a conversation with me, like most Ghanaians would, being the friendly people they are. He asks the regular questions, what are you doing in Ghana, do you like Obama, what church do you go to? I told him I didn’t go to church and he asked me what religion I am. He got so excited, I was the first Jew he has ever met! He asked me what I thought.

Notes from my Journey

Notes from my Journey. Katy and Josie are spending 2 and a half months wandering around Europe and working on organic farms.
