Katy's Tri blog: Let's try that again, shall we?

http://katystriblog.blogspot.com/2012/03/lets-try-that-again-shall-we.html

Monday, March 19, 2012. Let's try that again, shall we? OK, I admit it - a bit of a false start last week. Work stuff ate my lunchtimes :( And then it all just unravelled, although I take the blame for letting it go to such an extent. A 50-minute run on Monday evening. A 30-minute swim squeezed in on Wednesday. A 3h bike ride. On Sunday (which was excellent, considering it was only my second this year). Swim mixed intervals (1400m total) and steady run (40 min). Swim long intervals (1500m total). Swindon...

Katy's Tri blog: Getting adventurous

http://katystriblog.blogspot.com/2011/10/getting-adventurous.html

Friday, October 7, 2011. Something a little different - a Questars three-discipline adventure race weekend. The weekend went like this:. Friday evening: arrived and set up camp. The campsite (ok, field - this was not glamping! Around Brandon Country Park, and a rather nice fast stretch of the High Lodge exit road, pausing to help out when we stumbled over Trish dealing with a puncture, but clocking up 190 points to come top of our class in that event. And round 3 saw a night trail run. All told, we amass...

Katy's Tri blog: Exploratory run and a few good tunes

http://katystriblog.blogspot.com/2009/06/exploratory-run-and-few-good-tunes.html

Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Exploratory run and a few good tunes. I think as long as I can keep ticking over with a few small, easy runs, and at least one (also easy) bike and swim, I'll be fine. Others were right on. In particular, in the last bit of the run I was delighted to get She's So Lovely. To help me up the hill on Cantley Lane, and then Kirsty MacColl kicked in with There's A Guy Works Down The Chip Shop Swears He's Elvis. And it was all over. Nice one :). One Song To The Tune Of Another. I Don't...

Journey to be fit and healthy: Drinking

http://fitandhealthy1.blogspot.com/2011/01/drinking.html

Journey to be fit and healthy. My journey to become slimmer, healthier and fitter. Sunday, 23 January 2011. So this weekend involved quite a lot of drinking as I was out both Friday and Saturday night. To be honest, I don't actually like drinking too much, 3-4 is fine for me as means I can get a bit tipsy and still function the next day, however Friday night involved a few more drinks than that and I was definitely worse for wear on Saturday. Friday: 2480 cals (only 54 over for the day due to exercise).

Journey to be fit and healthy: Hello

http://fitandhealthy1.blogspot.com/2011/01/hello.html

Journey to be fit and healthy. My journey to become slimmer, healthier and fitter. Sunday, 16 January 2011. So today was actually quite a hard day diet and fitness wise. Last night I went out for an amazing dinner with my family to celebrate my mum's birthday (I saved my exercise calories last week in preparation and used some from today) and had a goats cheese soufle for starters, duck with dauphinoise. But I think the heavy meal did play havoc with me today. Dinner tonight is salmon with some potatoes ...

Journey to be fit and healthy: January 2011

http://fitandhealthy1.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html

Journey to be fit and healthy. My journey to become slimmer, healthier and fitter. Wednesday, 26 January 2011. Sweat dripping off your face, Eye of the Tiger blaring in your ears: Goodtimes! I started off on the cross trainer, a low level for 20 minutes. I thought I was actually going to die. There was no way I could increase the level at all like I usually do, I just had to get through it. Then I moved on to the weight machines and I felt like I had no energy at all! Sunday, 23 January 2011. So this wee...

http://fitandhealthy1.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Journey to be fit and healthy. My journey to become slimmer, healthier and fitter. Monday, 14 March 2011. I haven't been on line for a while, but have been exercising and have been progressing with the C25K programme and am currently on week 5, with the 2 mile run to come next! But now that I'm running outside constantly and staying away from the treadmill in the gym, I have been improving! I must say, I LOVE the running! Maybe not quite mid run, but as soon as I'm finished, I feel amazing! Especially wh...

Journey to be fit and healthy: Mondays

http://fitandhealthy1.blogspot.com/2011/01/mondays.html

Journey to be fit and healthy. My journey to become slimmer, healthier and fitter. Monday, 17 January 2011. Why is it Mondays always seem such bad days? I have just posted on Weight Loss Resources, (which I use to log all my food and exercise), that my only exercise this evening will be to get my duvet from upstairs and watch telly, but I think I might do my 30 Day Shred DVD first as this is only 20 minutes long and anyone can find 20 minutes! Hmm, I feel much better now after writing this! 5 Things They...

Journey to be fit and healthy: Targets

http://fitandhealthy1.blogspot.com/2011/01/targets.html

Journey to be fit and healthy. My journey to become slimmer, healthier and fitter. Tuesday, 18 January 2011. I had a mini fitness breakdown yesterday, I was feeling quite despondent as I couldn't see my fitness improving and seemed to be losing motivation very quickly! I posted on Weight Loss Resources and the lovely people there gave me some really good advice and one thing which I think I definitely need to do is to set some targets and create a training plan. Exercise: 30 mins exercise DVD: 239 cals.
