Kayaks across Bass Strait

This is the story of 6 Tasmanian paddlers crossing Bass Strait in March 2011. Bass Strait has a reputation for a place not to be taken lightly and we intend to allow plenty of time to sit out bad weather and also to explore the islands we will be stopping at on the way across.

Houston, you are the problem

Monday, March 19, 2012. Winter in Vancouver is usually a combination of rain, gloom, wind, more rain and then once or twice a year. snow that doesn't really stick. Usually by March, the flowers are up and we're well on our way to Spring. Well apparently this year winter wanted one more party, so for about 35 minutes it was a complete white out in North Vancouver. I took these photos about 30 minutes apart. It went from snow to sun so quickly. Ahhhh Winter, I will NOT miss you. Friday, March 16, 2012.
