One thing that absolutely drives me INSANE about South Florida, is how the majority of the people here have no manners, and are not helpful AT ALL. Ma'am and Sir are heard frequently no matter where you are, and someone is always willing to help you. So, this craziness is our life. Friday, September 20, 2013. I wasn't due for another 5 weeks! I couldn't do that! No way, not ready, please can we wait? Nope He's ready, your body is kicking him out. Before I know it, I'm in the worst pain imaginable, crying my eyes out.absolutely petrified. Was able to get the epidural. Oh what a miracle drug. The doctor who invented that was an absolute genius. I actually took a nap and had to be woken up to start pushing! Pushing (for this labor) was a breeze!

Sunday, May 11, 2014. Our next door neighborhood (Brushy Creek) had a BBQ festival the other week, so we went and checked it out. They had a bounce house that the kids played in for like 20 minutes for $1 each. Great success. When they weren't bouncing in the bounce house, they were busy turning up rocks and piling them on this other rock. They are slightly obsessed with rocks right now, and I fear the day Mr. Snake or Mr. Spider will be chilling under one of them. *gulp*. And chillin' on the porch.

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. On July 7th, our beloved GP passed away. The world lost one of the sweetest, kindest, most loving and adored men that day. The last thing GP said to me as we parted ways at Duncan's wedding reception was "Next time have a boy! So guess what I did? I had a boy! And I got to spend time with my gorgeous cousin (Michelle) and meet this magical little human she created (Elle). (sigh). We miss you every day, GP. Thank you for being such a wonderful example. Friday, April 25, 2014. Easter, Bluebonnets, and Other Whatnot. On April 13th I ran the Austin 1020: 10 miles, 20 stages. Well technically. As it turns out, some of the stages were duplicated since part of the run was there and back (up and down Burnet, to be exact).
