Sunday, August 10, 2014. When we went out for Emmett's blessing in late March, the timing was perfect. We attended our first New York Rochester Mission reunion. It was such a joy to be with our dear President and Sister Christianson again, and so many of the missionaries we served with. Friday, June 26, 2015. Still catching up on 2014 events! Here are a few highlights from November. Lorelei and I enjoyed a few "dates" to the library for story time. After story time, Lorelei enjoyed working on puzzles and playing with the stuffed animals. Some times, we went out to eat after the library or worked on a craft in my office. We recently went on the annual Ochoa family vacation. This year we stayed in cabins at South Toledo Bend State Park. The kids had so much fun getting to spend the whole week with lots of cousins. Brian's mom and sister also planned lots of fun games and activities to help keep the kids entertained. The guys rented two canoes and went out fishing in them. Aiden caught this alligator gar. Tuesday, March 17, 2015. September 2014 family visit. Carl's brother Billy, his wife Carol, and Carol's sister Elaine visited family in Houston for a few days. Carl and I had spent a wonderful Christmas at Elaine's home in Bainbridge, New York when we were on our mission. Since Billy and Carol live in Pennsylvania, it is a treat when they come to Houston. We just enjoy being together, going over memories, talking and laughing. We had a group movie date. I love being with my in-laws and love the ocean!

Eden gardens state park. One of the days we were in Florida we visited Eden Gardens State Park. This was such a lovely state park. When they got home Grandpa showed them how to fillet and cook the fish. Monday, May 26, 2008. Aiden and Dario love gardening. Every time they eat a fruit that has a seed in, it they will go outside and plant it. Today they planted grapefruit seeds. So far they haven't had any luck with their seeds growing. Maybe today! Friday, April 24, 2015. The kids always look forward to the cousins easter egg hunt each year. I love this photo of all the Texas cousins together. There used to be a time when they could all fit on the bench. The photo below is from 2010. I always love looking at past blog entries to see how much the kids have grown. Evan and Laila are the babies on Elayna and Dario's laps. This was the first Easter egg hunt for these two cuties. They were too little last year. I love Rae's pose here.

Baby Laila was born on October 29, 2008. We weren't expecting her to come so soon! Friday, October 31, 2008. Monday, October 27, 2008. Last night we made caramel apples with the kids, probably one of the messiest things to make with small children. When we were done there was caramel everywhere!
