Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Smells vs. Tastes. Many readers have asked me about the relationship between smell and taste. It's true that a connection can be drawn between the two, which I have illustrated in the following graph:. I hope this clears things up. Sunday, July 20, 2008. Here's a snippet from a 1942 article. All pretty neat stuff, except the drum smelled awful! Talk about old milk on your telephone mouthpiece! In all fairness, the drum is. Tend to smell, especially male skins.

Kelly, In Kagoshima. Tuesday, March 9, 2010. The SUN, Cooking Classes and Street Dancing. Oh, to have the sun on your bare skin after months of going about in layers and layers and layers! But alas, we are now back to ten degree weather and rain, rain, rain. Recently, Justin and I have been taking traditional Japanese cooking classes at a cooking studio. The menu has been really interesting. here we sliced our first なまこ(sea cucumber). I really don't recommend it! Last weekend we went to the 初午祭...

Kelly, In Kagoshima: April 2010
http://kelly-inkagoshima.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Kelly, In Kagoshima. Wednesday, April 21, 2010. Kyoto in the Spring. Kyoto was exactly how I had pictured Japan would be before I came - traditional buildings. Everywhere, a spotlight on traditional art and crafts, a mix of international and traditional cuisine - ha, basically everything that I have tried and failed to find in Kagoshima. We spent most of our time in Kyoto visiting temples (there are SO many! Wedding at the Sanjusangen. This temple houses 1000 guilded. And are decorated pieces of wood tha...

Smells Blog: Mashups
http://itsmellslike.blogspot.com/2009/04/mashups.html
Thursday, April 23, 2009. For all of my local readers, I present the New York City Subway Smell Map. Don't be fooled by the "no maps here" writing all over the image. Simply click out of "subway" mode and into "hybrid," then scroll over any subway stop to view reported odors at that station. This is a really great and well researched (I assume) map! I'm not well acquainted with specific subway stops and their smell, but I CAN appreciate some top notch work when I see it! April 24, 2009 at 3:47 PM.

Smells Blog: The Smell of Coffee Tables in the Morning?
http://itsmellslike.blogspot.com/2009/04/smell-of-coffee-tables-in-morning.html
Monday, April 6, 2009. The Smell of Coffee Tables in the Morning? Last night, while walking in circles on Powers Street, I had an idea for a Coffee Table Book. It will be about 12" x 12" and an inch and a half thick, with a posh leatherbound cover: something that Indiana Jones or Dumbledore could be proud to have on top of his. In the back, there will be the solutions, as a Magic Eye. Preorder at half.com. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Everything's coming up noses! Ringo, have a banana!

Smells Blog: September 2008
http://itsmellslike.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 9, 2008. As you may or may not know, I recently moved to New York City, and I have some exciting news to report: New York City smells great - all the time! Whether you are strutting down Avenue A, hopping on the Fung Wah in Chinatown, or just plain hiding behind a garbage can ogling sunbathing girls in Central Park, an offensive smell is nowhere to be found. Clear to the horizon, no foul odor, as far as the nose can smell. It's really incredible! Nope, still good! Labels: all the time.
