A Journey of Blessing: Quick Decision
http://augurfamily.blogspot.com/2006/12/quick-decision.html
A Journey of Blessing. Wednesday, December 06, 2006. December 5, 2006. Our caseworker, Angela, called at 4:30 pm to tell us about a baby that was born last night! She needed to know within the next 20 minutes. Whether or not we would like to be considered for this baby. Thankfully, Calvin was running a little later than he had planned, so he was home to take the call. He called Michele at work immediately, and we both overwhemingly felt like we should say "yes" to the situation. Weve Finished More Steps!

A Journey of Blessing. Tuesday, November 14, 2006. We've Finished More Steps! November 14, 2006. Angela finally called us back. Yesterday to let us know where to send the final two copies of our profile albums that Steve had printed for us. (She had been out of the office for a few days last week.) So now we can get them off to the correct offices! She also sent an e-mail the other day, letting us know that this year's criminal background checks had been completed. Posted by Augurs at 4:55 PM.

A Journey of Blessing. Monday, March 20, 2006. A Lesson from Elijah. March 20, 2006. When I arrived at work this morning, I found this encouraging e-mail waiting for me. (It's one of those "weekly devotional" e-mails.). God Will Take Care Of You! 1 Kings 17:4,9 You will drink from the brook, and I have ordered the ravens to feed youI have commanded a widow in that place to supply you with food. Help from God and the form His care will take may come to you in very strange ways! God will take care of you!

A Journey of Blessing: January 2006
http://augurfamily.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
A Journey of Blessing. Monday, January 30, 2006. January 30, 2006. Since Betty suggested that we get creative in trying to raise funds for our adoption. We've been trying to brainstorm fundraising ideas. God has provided for the costs in each step of the adoption journey. Now, we still need to raise 60% of our final fees. Which are due upon being chosen by a birthmother. So far, our solution has been to add significantly to our Adoption Fund savings from our paychecks each month. January 27, 2006. A Phot...

A Journey of Blessing: August 2005
http://augurfamily.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
A Journey of Blessing. Thursday, August 25, 2005. August 24, 2005. Calvin spent the morning working on the stair railing, which involved another trip to the hardware store. They're starting to recognize him, since he has been in there so often lately, so he decided to finally get their "rewards card" (like a Safeway card). He immediately answered the phone, and she got right to work. She told us that we just need to finish up our adoption profile albums and "dear birthparent" letters. Each of us needs to...

A Journey of Blessing. Tuesday, November 29, 2005. November 28, 2005. When we arrived home from work, we found a stack of fun "baby" mail! There were surprise gifts. Purchased off our registry, and a box with a " free sample" diaper. In it When we have tangible things like baby clothes to hold on to, it makes the "expecting time" less abstract. It reminds us that there will be a REAL baby here someday! Plus, it helps us to get ready! Posted by Augurs at 2:59 PM. Thursday, November 17, 2005. Because she d...
