Friday, February 24, 2012. Remember that one time. When we went to Big Bear in October, when Ace was 6 months old? And everybody tried to fish, and Ace and I sat in the shade with him in the baby carrier. I got bored, so I turned the camera around and snapped a couple pictures for fun, even though I couldn't see Ace's face while I was doing it. Sunday, November 10, 2013. I snapped a few pictures to remember Teddy's first bites of real food - avocado. But first, a kiss from big brother! And landing. These brothers are just dang cute together. And above, Teddy's first few bites. Obviously, he was none too pleased about it. Poor guy. Adventures at the zoo. So many things I need to blog about! Sunday, February 2, 2014. Thanksgiving at the harbor. Thanksgiving 2013 was spent at home, with Kirk's side of the family. It was filled with lots of good food, lots of family time, and lots of Kirk not having to work! Tubing at Soliders Hollow with Kevin and Michael. All of the boys are skiiers now! Spending time with Grandpa and Grandma Lindahl. They always make our trips so special. We scored some tickets to a local rodeo in alabama and we spent saturday night watching bucking horses and roping cattle. this was my first rodeo and austin was so excited to show me what the rodeo was all about. we even dressed the part. Halloween traditions. usually we do the normal pumpkin carving at halloween time, but because georgia is so humid, you can't really carve pumpkins because they will deflate into grandma pumpkins within 24 hours. so this year we painted our pumpkins instead. The next military training completed on austin's bucket list: the army reconnaissance course (ARC). pretty much a bunch of sneaking around and spying in the woods, he totally loved it! One saturday we visited FDR state park. And hiked the wolf's den.

While in search for things unique to atlanta, we came across the 1996 olympic mountain biking course. In doing some research we found that this was the first olympic mountain biking course. Pretty monumental and awesome, so we had to check it out. Hands down, this trail was the most fun. We have ever ridden. through a series of quick, downhill switchbacks. It was easy to gain speed and zip through the track and fun little obstacles along the way. i also must mention there was hardly any uphill.

Blog break for 4 months.but don't worry we will be back. Austin will be going to Chile. With the ROTC to study and train with the Chilean military academy to build relations, gain cultural understanding, and practice his espagnol. After the academy, he gets to travel all the way down to the southern tip of Chile in the Patagonia. And then go down to Fort Hood in Texas. To shadow a Lieutenant for a few weeks. Ironically the Chilean flag looks a lot like the Texas one. Who can really tell the difference?

Saturday, June 13, 2015. Jun 8-13: A Return to Normal. After Gramma and Grampa Johnson went home on xxx, we had a week of "normalcy" before our next big thing - a trip to Quebec Province, Canada! We did yard work, went to swimming lessons, played with all the toys we could think of, did some shopping for Elin's birthday and the upcoming trip and went to an event in College Park where we got a glimpse of pro-cyclist Jens Voigt! The Tour de France starts next month and Kent and I are big fans of Jens!
