http://www.7ramblingkids.com/2015/02/boon-docking-in-tucson-hidden-gems.html
The RV - Rambling Vehical. Boon-docking in Tucson - The Hidden Gems. Boondocking is a great way for us to camp for several reasons:. It allowes us to save some camping fees, so we can spend the money on some great adventure or museum pass. Nightly rates range from $20 to $40 in Tucson, so a couple nights of boondocking can really add to the FUN fund. When boon-docking most places are free. We have run into a couple places that charge a small fee - anywhere from $1 to $8 a night. Snyder Hill is BLM land a...

7 Rambling Kids: 1/11/15 - 1/18/15

The RV - Rambling Vehical. A Walk in the Desert. There is nothing more appealing to me than a walk with no destination nor agenda. We see what we see, and don't worry about getting to point B - the journey is in arriving. I try hard to have the kids be quiet and take in the little things around them; although, for some it is just a cross crountry race, which I guess is good too. Even though it was not a race, these two Saguaro Cactus marked our end. The Finish Line. These are the days we will remember!

7 Rambling Kids: Picacho Peak - Eloy, AZ
http://www.7ramblingkids.com/2015/03/picacho-peak-eloy-az.html
The RV - Rambling Vehical. Picacho Peak - Eloy, AZ. We were looking for a real mountain experience in southern Arizona, and this state park looked like it might fit the bill. I had grandiose dreams about us playing King of the Mountain, and reaching out to touch the clouds. The reality was even better than the dream; although, not near as grandeur. Picacho Peak state park. Was not a disappointment. The days were beautiful, the sunsets amazing, and the nights magical. On the trail Joclyn fell, and her chi...

Misdirected Musings : Masochist Tendencies, Sin, or Obedient Wisdom?
http://misdirectedmusings.blogspot.com/2015/07/masochist-tendencies-sin-or-obedient.html
A Little Context For Me. A Little Context For Me. Saturday, July 25, 2015. Masochist Tendencies, Sin, or Obedient Wisdom? Sometimes I am quite certain that I am a masochist at heart. I mean who else would try to learn Hebrew and Greek at the same time? And who else would go out of their way to read, listen to, and watch teachings that run counter to their deeply held beliefs? Yet, time and time again that is precisely what I find myself doing with my time. Personally, I find that sad. In fact, if I w...

A Little Context For Me. A Little Context For Me. Thursday, August 20, 2015. The Cross, Flat Earth, and Other Foolishness. Disclaimer: I am not a supporter nor do I promote this view. I am merely offering it to you as a thought experiment. So how many of you have heard the news? Apparently, the government, NASA, even the airlines, have been lying to us about the shape of the planet we live on. According to some, the earth is really not spherical but flat. That’s right, flat. Well, I am glad you asked.

A Little Context For Me. A Little Context For Me. Monday, August 3, 2015. I have tried three different days and dozens of different ways to write this post, and I have decided there is just no graceful way to jump in – so here I go! Yes, Christianity states that you are a sinner. Is that a pleasant thought? No Is it a comforting and beautiful thought? Nope, not at all. Is it offensive and detrimental to your sense of self-worth? Oh, yeah. Could it be damaging to your self-esteem? You better bet it can.

Misdirected Musings : June 2015
http://misdirectedmusings.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
A Little Context For Me. A Little Context For Me. Saturday, June 27, 2015. Why Christians Are To Blame For SCOTUS Marriage Decision. Okay, now that we good Christian folk have all had a chance to lament the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage, I think it is time that we took a moment to consider our culpability in the situation. I know this really eats into your allotted time to wail about the evils of our society, but getting honest is a huge part of the Christian faith. The Jesus we showed the world d...

A Little Context For Me. A Little Context For Me. Monday, July 27, 2015. My Bipolar Faith - No that's not a joke. One of the million and one fun facts about being Emily is I wrestle with being bipolar. When I tell people this I often get that “Ah, I see you are telling a self-deprecating joke and I am going to play along” giggle, followed closely by the “Oh, crap! 8220;I just repainted my bathroom a lovely green, not too sherberty and not too sagey.
