As you know, traveling isn’t cheap. Coming to Kenya for 1 month cost a little over $4,000. I was able to use my savings to cover a quarter of the cost. In the rush and bustle of planning, I wasn't able to fund-raise for this trip like I would have wanted to before I left, but I thank Go. D for allowing me a way to borrow the amount I still needed. I am already adjusting my budget to accommodate this loan as much as I can. With your help, I am hoping to be out of debt before 2014! Create a free website.

Construction for the orphanage began in April, and the girl's dorms were finished and officially opened in June. The dorms house 19 girls and 2 boys between the ages of 4 and 12, from the surrounding towns of Kisi, Katito, Kisumu, and Nyanza. Most of they are total orphans, some are partial orphans, all of them came from home environments that put them in desperate or vulnerable circumstances. No sorry, i'm actually not kenyan.
