Living the adventure...: February 2008

Wednesday, February 27, 2008. The Soothing Sound of a Vacuum. There's something soothing about hearing a vacuum hum along. Maybe it's the fact that it's getting something clean, and then again maybe it's because vacuuming is an easy accomplishment. Either way, this morning was a wonderful day to celebrate the invention of the vacuum. (I know, you're all thinking I'm crazy right about now.). I can't wait to get home tonight and walk on the fresh carpets! Friday, February 22, 2008. Weird Noises In The Night.

Mindy & the Rumuly 7: March in Some Family Time
http://mindyandtherumuly7.blogspot.com/2010/03/march-in-some-family-time.html
Thursday, March 18, 2010. March in Some Family Time. The warm weather finally has "sprung" and brought all the allergies with it. Currently, our "feverish" Aly has been placed back onto oxygen (nasal cannula) along with an antibiotic, breathing treatments, CPT, and suction. We're hopeful to keep her home and avoid a hospital stay since we have the medical equipment she needs here at home! We're praying our March will exit and April will begin with our Aly feeling better! Posted by I'm just the MOM! And t...

Mindy & the Rumuly 7: A Much Needed Reminder
http://mindyandtherumuly7.blogspot.com/2010/02/my-much-needed-reminder.html
Wednesday, February 17, 2010. A Much Needed Reminder. After going without electricity for three days, spending a thousand dollars on a generator to keep Aly's medical equipment working, and all four Rumuly guys suffering from stomach virus, R7 is worn down and out! Here's a much needed reminder; thanks Debbie for sharing:. 8220;Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? Thanks for praying, MR7. Mindy and The Rumuly 7.

From Africa's Heart and Mine - Life on Congolese Clay. Tuesday, June 30, 2009. 150 rolls of tarp. Posted by a.r.wolcott. Thursday, June 25, 2009. A Call to Commitment. While much has been said and can be said about the mistakes these missionaries made, one thing is certain; they answered the call of the King and gave their lives to answering that call. The very permanence of the structures that still stand is a testimony to the missionaries commitment to the call of Christ on their lives.

Esengo: The Ambiguous Life

From Africa's Heart and Mine - Life on Congolese Clay. Sunday, November 1, 2009. 8220;They agreed that they were foreigners and nomads here on earth…They were looking for a better place, a heavenly homeland.” Heb. 11: 13, 16. There are days I wish I had a good answer for that question, but the answer has simply become more complicated as I’ve grown older and taken jobs in countries that do not count as my residence. 8221; and the answer comes back, “The world goes not well, but the Kingdom comes!

From Africa's Heart and Mine - Life on Congolese Clay. Friday, January 23, 2009. For me, these moments have often involved children in one way or another; whether it is children recklessly abandoning themselves in their parents embrace, running wild at play or the desperate look of a mother watching over her sick child. Children are the easiest examples of joy and contentment we can find around us and perhaps because of this, they also offer the starkest view of our troubled world. Jan 9 - CPA Day! On Ja...

Living the adventure...: May 2008
http://bigsaps.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 19, 2008. Since the last posting on May 1:. 1 Becky turned 31! 2 We made $119 at my mom's garage sale (minus the $80 in gas to get to MI we made $39). 3 We went to the Brewers/Cardinals game on May 9. The first inning was the best for the Cardinals so we're glad we got to see that inning, but we left early and enjoyed not getting stuck in post game traffic. :). Thursday, May 1, 2008. Living the adventure...: July 2008
http://bigsaps.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 7, 2008. The past month has been filled with wonderful opportunities for Brian and I to reconnect with friends and family. While Stevens were here, we had a Crossroad (this was the name of the singles group at Spring Creeek when I was in it) reunion. It was fun getting to catch-up with people I haven't seen in years and to hear how God is working in their lives. And time together at the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival. The hardest part about each visit is the last few hours when Anna and Alyss...

Living the adventure...: Looking for a Rain Cloud
http://bigsaps.blogspot.com/2009/08/looking-for-rain-cloud.html
Thursday, August 20, 2009. Looking for a Rain Cloud. During my quiet time this morning, I was reading from the poetry book "If" by Amy Carmichael. The above poem took me off guard because I couldn't figure out what in the world it was talking about. Then I realized that there was a Bible reference at the bottom of the page. So I turned to 1 Kings 18:41-45 and God opened my heart to a valuable lesson. Adventures in Mother Venture. Hi Becky. Im glad to see you are posting! You will have three inches in you...
