A Breton familly building a Scotish dinghy in Texas. Mercredi 25 novembre 2009. Today was a cool clear sky and an unstable 10 knot wind coming from the north sector. We sailed from Seabrook with a friend and his proa. OK, Kerness is not a racing beast, so there is no point in comparing the proa and Kerness. A Breton familly building a Scotish dinghy in Texas. Dimanche 30 novembre 2014. After 5 years in Houston, we have now moved back to Brittany and off course, Kerness too! I did not try to go across the pond sailing Kerness! There are many people crossing the ocean with all kind of embarkations, but Kerness is still a small boat! The container arrived directly at our new home. Kerness is now in our garage and has a friend! So Trim and Kerness can now sail together in the river in front of our house.

Sport Boat 18 - Lady C. Vendredi 18 novembre 2011. Center board up, down wind, under spinnaker, one reef in the main, 8 knots, 3 crew. A stronger wind gust capsize Lady C. After a few seconds, water start entering the cockpit and the mast touches the bottom. Thanks to all the foam I have put in the hull aft and the forward void spaces, Lady C. stays afloat, but never comes back up. We have to call help and get the Lady C. salvaged by BoatUS. Lady C. is well build. Buy a wind meter. Who is this man?

Side note: The manufacturer of the motor does not offer yet the option to charge back the battery, with the properler free wheeling while under way with the sails. Sport Boat 18 - Lady C. Lundi 25 juillet 2011. Rigging up the mast. So, here is a question that everyone has: How do you rig up a 30ft mast onto a 18ft boat. It took me a while before having a good answer. I made a smaller mast with a jib. The mast and the gib are each 2" aluminum pipe, 4 m long.
