Mindenek előtt, a szakszervezet megalakulása egy alulról jövő kezdeményezés, amelynek a tagjai felismerték azt a tényt, hogy a meglévő postai szakszervezetek érdekeiket nem megfelelő módon, minimális eredménnyel képviselték a munkáltatóval szemben.
