The Simple Life of an Edinburgh Girl: April 2013
http://susy412.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
I've honestly lost count of the number of sloppy 'catch-up' posts I've done in the last year. I think my blogging bug has gone into hibernation for the winter! Is almost here so I think it's time to dust off and start up again with pointless goings-on. So here's a little run down of the last couple of months:. Afternoon tea at Turqu. Couple of Wowcher and Deal Monster vouchers, yes, that good that I went twice! Beer tasting with meat/cheese platter at Brewdog Edinburgh. Pulled pork burgers at Lebowskis.

Rsaquo; Entries written by Robin. I recently learned that one of my school teachers has died. Iain Caddell was my guidance teacher for almost all of my time at secondary school. Music – Edessa

My cello has been restored and returned to me. He’s done a fantastic job: all cracks repaired, including some not included in the original quote; chipped bits at the edge smoothed off; the whole thing polished up. With the replaned fingerboard it’s much easier to play, and with the new …. This is where my evenings go. We were phoned at about half past ten last night, just as we were about to go to bed. Our organist had taken ill, and would Robin step in? She’s growing up! I have taken next week off work ...

Thoughts – Edessa

Olympics, children’s sport, and competition. I was not a sporty child. I was the sort of person who would much rather curl up with a book (good book for preference, but any book would do) for the whole of breaktime than run around outside. I hated tag. I always ended up being ‘it’ and could …. Lucy Skywalker, Prince Lee, and Hannah Solo. Try getting maths right at 8 instead. The best time and place in history. The article clarified the question in the standfirst: if you could travel …. I was surprised at...

Faith – Edessa
http://www.edessa.co.uk/category/faith
Yesterday was Faith’s birthday. She would have been four. We took some flowers to her grave. Someone else had been before us and left a tiny Christmas tree and some little pottery animals. It’s good to know that other people are remembering her too. Faith’s gravestone has now been put up. We visited the grave and brought flowers on Tuesday six months since she died. I miss her. I just wanted to thank everyone for your support. It’s very comforting to know that you’re thinking of us, and t...Faith’s...

About – Edessa

This is the website of Robin and Rhiannon Miller. Don’t expect any great theme or plan for this website. The main purpose of this blog is to keep family and friends updated with what’s going on in our lives. From time to time one or other of us might also use it as a platform for expressing something that’s on our minds, but for the most part posts here will detail humdrum daily activities and maybe the odd recipe or two. Gardening – Edessa
http://www.edessa.co.uk/category/gardening
Finally, some progress in the garden. It’s May already, and thanks to a super-long nap on Saturday we’ve finally found time to clear out the greenhouse and plant some stuff. The courgette season is upon us. Hooray! I sowed more courgette seeds than usual this year, to make up for growing fewer types of veg. Most of them came up. So now we have about fifteen plants in three different varieties, all producing prolifically. In previous years we might have …. They have the blight! We typically spend about 25...
