Thru Jordie's Eyes: June 2010
http://thrujordieseyes.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 28, 2010. Ava all dressed up in her dance recital costume. Too bad we'll be on the road heading to San Diego on the day of the actual recital. Luckily, Ava doesn't seem to mind too much. Afterall, it's all about the outfit anyway and there will be many more recitals in her future. Monday, June 28, 2010. Friday, June 11, 2010. Where Art Thou Jordie? You all were wondering if I was still alive weren't you? So, what have we been up to? Ava with her Pre-K teacher, Mrs. Mise. We were livin large!

Tuesday, December 7, 2010. The Speed of Light. 65279;In-between 8 trips to Houston, and flights to Washington D.C., Wisconsin and Newark over the last three months, life and death happened. It has been a blur. Here are some highlights and lowlights (with hopes these pictures will help me to remember it all):. Visited my sister in Marshfield,WI and enjoyed some beautiful Fall colors and crisp air. This Halloween Ava was Rupunzel and her daddy was some scary looking Grim Reaper. Thru Jordie's Eyes: April 2010
http://thrujordieseyes.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Sadly, Ava will probably never have a brother or sister to call her own. Which will fortunately save her from years of unnecessary fighting during her youth. However, this unfortunately also means she will miss out on the amazing experience of growing up with someone and knowing she has a sibling to help her out when mom and dad grow old. And become crazy and helpless. And even as I wrote that my stomach sank. Plus selfishly, I really don't want to get fat again and. It was unse...

Friday, May 24, 2013. The final Cupcake Season. The Cupcakes worked hard at the tournament this year and won BOTH their final games and took home a championship trophy out of the 4 teams in their division. Ella worked extra hard and did a fabulous job! She looks so tall and grown up in this photo with her proud daddy. This is the last season all these girls will play together since Ella is moving to a more competitive division. She has so much to be proud of! Love you Soccer Star! Am I Having Fun Yet?

The Barron Bunch: Mother's Day- 1st Grade Style
http://thebarronbunch.blogspot.com/2013/06/mothers-day-1st-grade-style.html
Monday, June 17, 2013. Mother's Day- 1st Grade Style. I can't say it enough how fortunate we were to be blessed with Mrs. Gagner as Ella's 1st grade teacher. I had heard about the wonderful Mother's Day celebration the 1st graders put on and I knew it would be 'emotional' when I saw all the kleenex boxes on the tables. It started with Mrs.Gagner tearfully reading a wonderful book called, "Let Me Hold You Longer". If you get a chance, read it.Such great words and a sweet message. Ella and Mrs.Gagner.

Thursday, September 15, 2011. Am I Having Fun Yet? Rented a quaint old (squeeky) cabin in Sedona over the long Easter weekend. Spent lots of time outside hiking and really appreciated the quality time with Ian, Ava and our two pooches. Rocked out with my husband at the Motley Crue/Poison Concert. Family Vacation to Disneyland, Beach time in Santa Monica, and celebrated Ava's 6th Birthday! Rode bikes on the boardwalk. Had family photos taken in Santa Monica. Ava's first day of First Grade at a new school.

Simple Spice: August 2011
http://simplespice.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Reinventing the "Family Dinner Table" With Simple, Delicious Meals. Sunday, August 21, 2011. I have a confession. I am married to a Southerner. I lived in the South for several years. I love Southern cooking. But up until a few days ago. I had NEVER made a cobbler! Shhhh, don't tell my in-laws, they may throw me out of the family (oops. I think they follow this blog)! PS: My husband still had our "good" camera at work, so please excuse the poorly lit, iPhone shot ;). Adapted from Mother Thyme. 4-6 ears o...

Reinventing the "Family Dinner Table" With Simple, Delicious Meals. Wednesday, September 28, 2011. We interrupt our regularly scheduled blog post for this breaking news: My son had three helpings of spinach for breakfast! That's right, spinach! Both my boys love smoothies, but I usually stick to the basic berry and yogurt combination. But being that green is my oldest son's FAVORITE color, how could he resist the Green Monster! 1 cup frozen mango. 1 cup frozen pineapple. 1 banana, sliced. Put all ingredi...
