Let's make something! Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Tag Archives: raised bed garden. August 15, 2015. The variety of flowering plants we have been putting down over the last six months has started to bare pollinator fruit. There have seen a number of bumble bees in our yard, and of course our own honey bees have something close to snack on. I thought adding some clover would help out. I picked up a pound of white and yellow clover and got going on a raised bed garden. Before putting...

Let's make something! Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. Newer posts →. September 18, 2016. I have a bit of a fence issue. For no apparent reason other than age, one (maybe even two) of my fence posts has given up on life and is starting to lay down on the job. How to affect repairs on something like this? I started by sinking two 2x4s on either side of the main broken post to act as temporary supports. It might not look like much, but that sucker was heavy! Fast forward a week later and...

Let's make something! Skip to primary content. Skip to secondary content. April 2, 2016. A few weeks ago a friend of mine asked for help making a giant jenga game. It sounded like a lot of sanding, luckily I could make him do that part! Step 1, acquire a lot of 2x4s and plywood to make a box. Now, cut a minimum of 72 10.5″ sections. We cut a few extra 2x4s so we could be choosy and kick out ones with bad knots or dings. Once the box was assembled the moment of truth came. Would it all fit? August 23, 2015.
