SOUTH WEST IN JULY. First stop was the coastline around Albany somewhere to stretch our legs and have a wander. The water was a pristine aqua blue and it wasn't long before we came across an outcrop for my Mum and Shane to climb. Then it was off to Elephant Cove. This picture and the title picture illustrate how the cove got its name. These massively tall, slender boulders are weathered such to reseamble a herd of Elephants. After some exploring we headed back. Welcomed by a colourful crew of parrots.

Our first view of the island itself. Our last view of the island with a cruise ship in the background. Our room in a little block of 6. The balcony where we spent much time talking, eating and writing. Joe, Shane and Lulu. The Boatman, Russell. The view from our balcony. This gecko climbed right up the can of Sprite and started drinking from my straw. Wanting my straw back, Kim made a large drop of Sprite and we watched both geckos fly off in a sugar fueled rage.
Lake Monger

It was a beautiful day for a picnic and Lake Monger is only a short bike ride away. One of the swans thought Shane was going to feed it, but he was pointing at the cygnet scratching its belly while in the water - very buoyant little fluff balls. Later two cobs started getting territorial near our piece of the bank, so the mother moved her little babies on shore and eventually left us to watch the pacing behaviour of the two males. After that little disturbance, a family of ducks approached.

Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Pretty lobster type thingies. Cute fish and weinies. Soup, staring at us. Christmas in the Philipines. It is November 13 and I am already Christmased out. This is pretty awesome, tho. It is a REAL, life sized gingerbread train. You could stand in the back of this to have your photo taken. Kim, Sharisa, Hanna LouJean Lovell. Sunday, December 27, 2009. Megan was almost a Christmas baby. She was 40 minutes to late. Sharisa went into labor at 10 in the morning and we went in about 6. They broke her water at 10:45pm and Megan arived at 12:45am on December 26th. She weighed 7lb 10oz and was 19.5 inches long. We are so excited to finally have her here. Links to this post.
