Musings of a Traveler | KimchiandCavatelli
https://kimchiandcavatelli.wordpress.com/2013/07/01/musings-of-a-traveler
Musings of a Traveler. July 1, 2013 by Korean Musings. You’ll never leave where you are until you decide where you rather be. I’m not trying to turn my nose up in disdain to anyone who does not like to travel because it is all a matter of opinion. For me personally, when I see the world, I feel exhilarated, free, and connected. My hunger is not satiated upon returning from one place; on the contrary, I am scoping out the next place to explore. Archive for March, 2013. On March 25, 2013 2 Comments. 8220;The most profound statements are often said in silence. Silence is the antithesis of superfluous speech. To be comfortably silent in a situation without feeling a compulsion to talk just to fill empty space, is a hard task. It requires the grace of good company and a certain level of confidence. Perpetually silent people are just as bad as the marathon talkers; therefore, the timing for silence is the most important factor. I don’t think so....

August 10, 2012 by Korean Musings. 8220;Never say goodbye, because goodbye means going away. And going away means forgetting.” – Peter Pan. In the case of goodbyes, I don’t really agree with this statement. The dynamic of goodbyes and forgetting was one of the nerve wracking aspects that I mulled over when making my decision to leave New York. If I leave, will it only be a matter of time before I am forgotten? How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard. A.A. Milne. I want to play a.

Musings of a Traveler. April 15, 2013 by Korean Musings. Memories have the ability to appear in our life when we least expect it and can be sparked by a sudden smell, song playing, touch, picture, etc. Not all memories are created equal; some are vivid, some are fuzzy, some are painful, others are soothing. It is fair to say that our minds capture the essence and spirit of those who impact us the deepest. Perhaps it is an acquaintance or old friend that we silently keep tabs on through Facebook? Time pas...

Adventures in Kimchi
Interesting experiences in Korean food, combining kimchi into unexpected dishes! Monday, December 5, 2016. Kimchi nachos with snow peas and garlic mayonnaise! Tonight I felt like something fun for dinner! While I was looking for some cheese to melt over the nachos I found this garlic aioli mayonnaise. This seems appropriate because Koreans like egg and garlic! It was certainly fun and healthy, but wasn't spicy enough for me. This is probably because I didn't actually add any spicy flavourings anyway!

kimchiadventures | A fine WordPress.com site
A fine WordPress.com site. I have been in Seoul for over two months now and haven’t posted anything on here for ages! That is due to the fact that I am having a great time here and always out and about. I have seen a lot, done a lot, made some great friends and really like my job. I can’t believe that in under two weeks I will already be on my way back to Germany. For all the details of the trip I am going to let the pictures speak (or you are free to ask me of course):. Entrance to Bamboo Forest. I hope...

Since I started (and abandoned) this blog years ago, I have moved on to a different part of the world, Europe. Life seems to keep me moving from one foreign place to another.
