Community I and II. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18: 1: Moderato. Asking the right question. October 13, 2014. Hello, blogI It’s been a long time, hasn’t it. I’ve got no excuses. Just apologies (seriously, I’m working on it) and a few new thoughts for you. And if there’s an actual right, best answer (and I can’t figure it out) then. Got to know it, right? Which is where I tend to turn my eyes toward other people. If everyone thinks this is strange, wrong, all types of a hot mess, than they m...

The Lost | Rough Draft
https://thisroughdraft.wordpress.com/poesie/the-lost
Community I and II. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18: 1: Moderato. I wrote this about four years ago. It’s still one of my favorite things that I’ve written. It’s so much better than I tend to think I am as a writer. We are a wandering people. Aimless, heedless of time or historical space. Nomadic in our tendencies, illiterate in our style. We are the lost. I see my sister walking down the street. All body: angles and curves. She draws attention, has become accustomed to the attention. Fill in yo...

These Moments | Rough Draft

Community I and II. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18: 1: Moderato. This was also written about four years ago. It’s a compilation of pieces of other poems, ones that didn’t quite work until they came together in this one. She spoke to me in soft tones, pouring out things she’d kept locked in. She stared down at her hands and so she missed my steadily flowing tears. We existed in a place that was warm and safe and too fragile to live in the everyday world. Stand just there and let me be next to you.

Would I just have to become comfortable with having fear as a roommate? Man, this is guh-uhd. Poemin’: “Journey” →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. #Poemin’: “Journey” | Rough Draft
https://thisroughdraft.wordpress.com/2014/01/30/poemin-journey
Community I and II. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18: 1: Moderato. Poemin’: “Journey”. January 30, 2014. Just the latest little poem scribbled in my notebook. She picks a time of day to set out. To move along easily through the streets and crowds and debris. She knows it will be long and difficult at times. Yet she finds it hard to contain her excitement. This is what she was made for. Journey and journey and journey on. This is a movement calling her. She carries only what she thinks she’ll need.

Community I & II | Rough Draft
https://thisroughdraft.wordpress.com/poesie/community-i-ii
Community I and II. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18: 1: Moderato. Community I and II. These two were written at very different heart places. The first was written from feeling a lack in community, in wanting something more. The second was written from much more of a place of hope and joy (and you can definitely feel it in the writing). They’re quite different but I like to think that they work well together though. A room full of solitary ones, all gathered ‘round. Beyond talk of home and forever.

Community I and II. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18: 1: Moderato. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18: 1: Moderato. This one’s pretty brand spanking new. Because I love Rachmaninoff. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18: 1: Moderato. I love you in the dance, in the swirling of the moment. In the swell of the music that moves us upward. That tells us a story and carries us along. There are moments of passion, where we cannot help but cling. Pulled and tugged, and handled almost ruthlessly.

My Love Affair with Poetry: the Beginning | Rough Draft
https://thisroughdraft.wordpress.com/2014/02/14/my-love-affair-with-poetry-the-beginning
Community I and II. Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor, Opus 18: 1: Moderato. My Love Affair with Poetry: the Beginning. February 14, 2014. In case you haven’t noticed, I love poetry. I love to read it, to write, to live it. (See, that’s the poetic side of me coming out). It sort of feels like I’ve always been a poet, and always loved poetry. However, if I really think about it, I can remember the beginning of our love affair. For some reason, this makes me so happy. Their poetry has been like a friend ...

clouds in my coffee: write on through the dry spell
http://broadwaydave.blogspot.com/2015/04/write-on-through-dry-spell.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Write on through the dry spell. This is the part of the show where this story gets lengthy, you, the reader, are ready to move onto something else, and I, the writer, must ask for your patience. quite simply, I want to finish this story, no matter who does (and doesn't) read it. Doogie used to end every episode by writing one or two. Lines that encapsulated what we just watched in the. Previous 1/2 hour, almost like a "what I learned today". The crap was I talking about? That I...
