Saturday, 8 August 2015. It's been a looong time since I've made an update to the blog. Vacation, rebuilding the fishroom. Etc took all the available time. In april I put some Neocaridina davidi in some tubs in the garden. They survived a light frost and have been crawling around without much happening. It has been quite cold in Denmark and only recently have we experienced stable, warmer weather with most days around 20C or warmer. I decided to have a look in the tubs yesterday. In a container for photos.

Other livebearers I maintain. Very widespread and a massive amount of different types, both wild and cultured strains. I only keep a few that I think has something out of the ordinairy to them. Carupanó, Venezuela 2008, Phillip Voisin and Co. Small and rare livebearer that I am very happy to keep! Quintana atrizona, Guanimar, Cuba 1987. Roughly same size as Heterandria formosa, this makes a great addition to the cooler water aquarium. Can be tricky when it comes to sex ration in the fry.

Mix ingredients into a bowl and store overnight in the refrigerator. 1/2 cup Craisins or raisins. 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or slivered almonds. You can add chopped apples instead of Craisins or 1 sliced banana to your 1 serving. Do not add apples or bananas to unused portion or they will brown and get mushy. Prep time: 3 minutes.
