Saturday 10am - 4pm. The Gallery is open every Saturday from 10am until 4pm when the work of Lynette Gray and Douglas Gray can be seen. Oils, watercolours, mixed media and prints are for sale and one of the artists will be there if the visitor has any questions about work or framing. The tutor is Lynette Gray who taught art at secondary school level until the opening of the studios and gallery. Classes are traditional. A method or skill is taught, then practised for a few weeks before moving on to something new. There is a maximum of twelve students in a class. The main gallery space was used to store the station’s salt for many years. It has always been known as The old ladies’ waiting room . A second room on the platform side of the building is of particular interest, with its cast iron pillars, stone walls and an original railway bench. Large windows make this a bright airy space. The main door to the gallery can be accessed from Station Brae down a few steps. Disabled access is available via the platform door.
