The Oasis: February 2015

http://www.kingscopseoasis.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html

Our Visual Impairment Unit. Wednesday, 11 February 2015. This month's In-Reach celebrated Chinese New Year. When I asked if any of the VI team at Kings Copse had any ideas what we could do, I was amazed when one of our team suggested Dragon dancing, as she had a Dragon at home! All of the children were offered the opportunity not only to 'have-a-go' but also to have a good close-up look and investigation of the Dragon. Pupil questions could be answered and the Dragon head studied. Return to school website.

Our Visual Impairment Unit. Monday, 8 June 2015. The whole school was blessed with the weather last Friday. Despite a poor forecast and even a plan for postponement, come Friday lunchtime the sun popped out and a brilliant afternoon of sporting fun began. For our pupils with a visual impairment this meant full inclusion and participation. There was no getting away from having your class mates squeezing a wet sponge over your head! Or making all those saucers cups, or is it cups to saucers? To help ensure...

Clubs

The School Clubs Blog. Tuesday, 21 July 2015. We've been busy in the gardening club since we started back in March. Here is part of the gardening club team, who have been planting, watering and maintaining the garden over the last 5 months. We had a great display of flowers over the spring, which all needed watering regularly! We've made our own compost, from the uneaten fruit, chicken bedding, grass cuttings and other greenery. We've built frame works for the plants to climb up. We've done more watering.
