By Jan King and Rob Stead. 12 hours by coach, speed boat, mini bus and ship and we arrive in the Sundarbans, having left Dhaka at 6am. There are 11 of us on the tour; a mix of Brits, Australians and Dutch. What a scenic place it is. Posted 2 years ago. Weekend trip to Donegal. Lolo and Fifi visit. September comes to an end. As a final thrill we took Stuart’s bomb proof car to Dhaka airport with lights and siren blaring. From Dhaka we stayed a night in Kolkata, before travelling on to Dubai and then London. By Jan King and Rob Stead. Viewing everything posted on November 8, 2014. Long day exploring. Started with a small boat ride along the creeks and then a walk to a beach where we could swim. After lunch we walked into the forest and spotted our first Tiger (foot prints! Animals were a little sparse but I suspect they know where us humans congregate. Good for them. Jane’s driver, Allam, took us everywhere in the Land Rover which made for a pleasant, yet rarefied, experience. Lunch was at the Nordic Club. Jan of course had the lovely Rufus and Rob had a wooden lodge alive with mice but still there was a sense there might be something more out there to make their lives complete. 8211; we cannot really say but something happened that Epiphany in 2004 that has led to 18 June 2016 and a wedding. This is what we got up to! 1900 – Pizza at Follies, Folkestone Harbour Arm. 1115 Gather in Hythe town centre. Grab a coffee. 1145 Old Hythe Town Hall the wedding (standing and sitting). Broadcast live here. 1320 Hythe Railway Station (bring cushions and small foldup stools for comfort). 1320 All aboard the train. 1340 Train departs for Dungeness. 1440 Dungeness picnic and photos. 1610 Train departs for Hythe. 1720 To hotels for rest, change, tea. Or time on the beach or down the pub.

Watched the morning break around our ship; the fishermen were interesting.
