Sascha's Stumblings: September 2009
http://saschstumbles.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 30, 2009. T minus One Day. I keep having to remind myself that this time tomorrow I will have just arrived in Singapore and resting before the continuing journey to Cape Town! I complained that this trip was taking ages to get here - now it just feels like the last month or so flew by without me even noticing! Did I actually go into what the conference I'm going to is for? I don't think so. This is the World Congress of Gynaecology and Obstetrics, as run by FIGO (International Federa...

Sascha's Stumblings: August 2009
http://saschstumbles.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 22, 2009. He Puts My Tears In A Bottle (Psalm 56:8). Earlier in the week, I lost two people who meant everything to me growing up. Allan and Kari Taylor played such a huge part in my life as a child, and it is unbelievable to me that they have gone. Their passing was hugely traumatic for all concerned, and I can't think about them without crying. Every chapel memory I have has Mr T in it. I remember one in particular (that has NEVER left me), where he shared his love of the word ENTH...

The Adventures of Us! Love God, choose to be happy and celebrate the adventure of life. Thursday, April 21, 2011. Is it time for a change? I'm thinking it might be time, time to start a fresh, time to start back from the beginning again, time to start a new blog. I've been wondering for awhile now if maybe my season of blogging has come and gone, maybe its time to close this thing down for good? Posted by The Adventures of Big Bertha! Awwww I read your blog Beck! April 22, 2011 at 8:22 AM. I will miss re...

Tuesday, March 16, 2010. Return of the Muppets. Last Monday we traipsed on down to BNE domestic to welcome back Bek and Dion after their year at Vana in Chivhu, Zimbabwe. We had a great time with them, their parents, Dawn, Michael, Andrew and Nic that night at dinner; and now are enjoying having them stay with us for the next two and a bit weeks. Sascha's Stumblings: March 2009
http://saschstumbles.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 20, 2009. The beginnings of tutoring. One of my 'goals' for the last year has been to get more involved in African issues whilst based in Australia. I figured that if I couldn't get myself back 'home' anytime soon, I had to do SOMETHING to keep that restless spirit satiated. My nose seems to be growing! Ever since to be assigned a family to work with. I can't believe it! For more information on VoRTCS - please visit www.refugeetutoring.org. Links to this post. Sunday, March 15, 2009. B and ...

LaBan Family!!!: April 2007
http://labanslittleone.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 25, 2007. So, we have had a pretty normal pregnancy from what we can guess so far. Amy has had a whole heap of nausea, almost all day everyday - but not actually being sick, which is good. Carey has had to put up with a whole heap of mood swings (yes, even more than normal.) and is coping pretty well. Amy's work is quite stressful at the moment, which is not good, but she is trying to keep cool and out of physical danger (which is sometimes a reality on playground duties). We have been v...
