Welcome to My Chronic Migraines. Looking for my Peace of Mind. What are Chronic Migraines? March 30, 2015. March 30, 2015. According to the International Headache Society, chronic migraines are defined as more than 15 headache days per month over a three-month period of which more than 8 are migraines, in the absence of medication over use. Which to me means, if you get migraines more than 8 times in 3 months, then yes, you have chronic migraines. What a week that was! I could barely function at work.
