Vagrant Kiwis: Wagyu
http://asrick.blogspot.com/2007/07/wagyu.html
Vagrants - wandering the world aimlessly. Saturday, July 28, 2007. A quick note on a new Eggs Benedict place that we've just tried. Probably the best we've had in Hong Kong to date. Wagyu is (as the name suggests) of Australian extraction. The Coolangatta Gold breakfast had been had previously, and was excellent. The ambience was a little off today, as the air-con was not working. They had fans going, so it wasn't bad, but not quite as good as usual. So, the scores:. Hollandaise - 9/10 - was great.

We got ourselves organized early and headed out to catch the 8.31am train to London. We had a 10am reservation of the London Eye and it was fantastic! Big Ben from the London Eye Capsule. Burning some energy at the very cool playground near the London Eye. Walkng over the sharks! A turtle - we hear Braden wants one as a pet! And Zar...

Vagrant Kiwis: Day Five. Paris here we come :-)
http://asrick.blogspot.com/2013/07/day-five-paris-here-we-come.html
Vagrants - wandering the world aimlessly. Monday, July 22, 2013. Day Five. Paris here we come :-). Today was the first of two days for us to 'do Paris properly'. We started in the way we intended to go on, with a nice lie in, and lovely hotel buffet breakfast and then a quick dip (well for some of us) in the hotel pool. Refreshed and ready to attack the day we headed on the train into Paris. It takes about twenty minutes on the train, and then we were right in the thick of things! 65279;. We headed bac...

Vagrant Kiwis: Two more Eggs Benedict venues
http://asrick.blogspot.com/2006/12/two-more-eggs-benedict-venues.html
Vagrants - wandering the world aimlessly. Wednesday, December 27, 2006. Two more Eggs Benedict venues. The first, which Sonia and I visited in HK on Saturday morning - "The Flying Pan". Someone has a sense of humour. Eggs - 7/10 - a bit runny. Hollandaise - 8/10 - was ok. Ambience - 7/10 - ok if that's what you feel like, but not relaxing. Eggs - 9/10 - needs to be poached in a normal frypan or saucepan in order to allow the whites to spread out slightly (but not too much). Union Bar and Grill.

Vagrant Kiwis: Day Seven - Back Home in Sevenoaks
http://asrick.blogspot.com/2013/07/day-seven-back-home-in-sevenoaks.html
Vagrants - wandering the world aimlessly. Tuesday, July 23, 2013. Day Seven - Back Home in Sevenoaks. Well we truly exhausted ourselves in Paris and came back to Sevenoaks on the train last night ready to sleep for a week! However time waits for no-one so we had to keep moving! This morning we headed out to Knole Park which is a very old house that used to be owned by King Henry V111 way back in the day. Now it is my local park, complete with Deer that roam around and are almost. How is that for cute?

Vagrant Kiwis: October 2012
http://asrick.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Vagrants - wandering the world aimlessly. Friday, October 12, 2012. Day Seven - Noahs Ark and a Not Well Zach. Believe it or not the rascals have now been here seven days. We have had a blast and Zach has spent the last three days trying to work out how he could stay on an extra week. Not sure he has fully comprehended that I do not spend all my time checking out the theme parks of Hong Kong! He would however fit right into the local culture with his fixation with shopping :-). So Jayna and I sorted a mo...

Vagrant Kiwis: First and foremost...
http://asrick.blogspot.com/2007/01/first-and-foremost.html
Vagrants - wandering the world aimlessly. Wednesday, January 03, 2007. Still haven't got around to charging the camera, but we need to get the Eggs Benedict experience documented before the memories fade. In Newmarket, next to 277 Broadway. It's somewhere that Jonathan introduced me to about 2 years ago when I had moved back to Auckland to live. We went there one day with Dad when Mum was away/out somewhere. So to the scores:. Eggs - 8/10 - seemed fine under all of the sauce. Bread - 9/10 - see above.

Vagrant Kiwis: Eggs Benedict
http://asrick.blogspot.com/2006/10/eggs-benedict.html
Vagrants - wandering the world aimlessly. Sunday, October 29, 2006. I decided to start a review of Eggs Benedict from different places around Hong Kong. Ratings will be out of a maximum possible score of 50, being made up of:. Eggs - must be poached, runny in the centre, without the watery whites that you sometimes get. Bread - should be a muffin, or a bagel if muffins are not available. Should be lightly toasted. Hollandaise sauce - light but not watery, reasonable quantity. Coffee - ideally a latte.
