Makini is a Tanzanian NGO based in Dar Es Salaam which supports children and teenagers who live in the street of Dar es Salaam. Makini provides basic short-term responses to their needs and organizes weekly art activities (drama, music, dance, story telling…) with professional trainers. UNICEF is currently supporting a joint initiative involving the Department of Social Welfare (DSW) and three implementing Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs); KIWOHEDE, Dogodogo and MAKINI.
