Seriously. Only not so much. Archive for October, 2009. Obama and the Nobel Prize. October 14, 2009. I’ve been asked numerous times for my thoughts on Obama winning the Nobel Prize, and i actually consider the whole matter a rather trivial affair, truth be told. but as always, i DO have an opinion. i will attempt to share it here, if for no other reason than to keep from having to repeat myself. Brass tacks: do i think Barack Obama deserved to win the Nobel Prize? His powers of moral persuasion are unriv...

Seriously. Only not so much. June 16, 2009. So why the asterisk, right? I truly think that my connection with her is important enough to be the one exception that i can live with. and i think it’s much better to acknowledge this honestly than to lean on what amounts to a loophole in the vows i took this weekend. of course, if i’m missing something here, i’m open to suggestions. Tomorrow she and the Colonel are coming over for tea in the evening. i’ll take a few pictures and post them. 🙂. June 15, 2009.

At home with Ana. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. May 2011 - Fire. Replica of her theater. She could see shadow. But not make out Puppet Master. She admired the strings. The emotion in movement. Creating life in inanimate. Expression on the expressionless. Mood on the moodless. The sweeping play of shadows. The motion of creation. She couldn't hear the words. She watched him draw up the red ribbons. Do a scene with a blue boat. Two travelling companions on board. Then the Sun and the Moon came. As the Sun curtsied.

At home with Ana: Motherhood
http://athomewithana.blogspot.com/2013/06/motherhood.html
At home with Ana. Thursday, June 27, 2013. On the top of a lightening struck tree. Half of the next. I suppose some days. I saw one of her babies. But not the other. My last thought before bed was. I thought we'd all be gone in the night. But we're still here. How does a Mother Osprey know. When her work is done? When does she know?

At home with Ana. Thursday, June 27, 2013. Wrapped in a blanket. Chortelling to her two. Responding to each breeze. It's all I can do. It's all I can be. To hear their feet fall. In the morning grass. She chooses high ground. She shows me the way. It's all I can do. It's all I can be. Ana and the Kais. On the top of a lightening struck tree. Half of the next.
