Sunday, 6 July 2008. OMFG how amazing was that! I wanted Federer to win but who can begrudge Raffa that? I've done nothing with my Sunday but watch tennis and sleep and feel incredibly drained. Andrea and I have been screaming our heads off at the tv, with Andrea supporting Nadal and me supporting Federer. What Nadal said at the end of match was lovely, but still . Roll on 2009. Sunday, 10 August 2008. We stayed at the Chelsea Star Hostel on West 30th on 8th Ave. A great location, close to Macy's, Kmart and many, many more stores. I mention Macys and Kmart speifically as Andrea and I spent two days trying to get to Macys and couldn't get past the bargains at Kmart! We made the trip to Century 21, which on this occasion only resulted in a few purchases, a stunning roundabout from the usual. We eventually opted to take the Amtrak to Boston where we stayed at a hostel in South Bost...

Wednesday, July 30, 2008. Let him who has ears hear. Well today our little treasure got her hearing aid! And boy did she have a strange look on her face when it was first turned on! She jolted her head, and blinked her eyes, and looked all around (honestly, you'd think she'd got a set of glasses or something), not quite knowing what was going on. Tuesday, 27 November 2007. The Sierra Leone trip is on hold until we hear back from the SLTU about when they want us to come over. I've just about got over my hissy fit about this and I understand the rationale behind changing the date it's just making my life more difficult. On the positive side(? I'm looking around my room and starting to plan the rebunk for E17, but it is daunting. I'm going to upload some pics of Sierra Leone and then take a break from the internet as it's very slow at the moment.

Tuesday, 25 December 2007. I'm just recovering from breakfast at the Bests. Margot, Mike and Sasha have spoilt me again this year - YAY! I can't describe how wonderful it is to just chill out after a very hectic couple of weeks and of course the move on Sunday (WTF was I thinking? A huge thank you to Kat, Sharon and Andrea for all their help. I'm going to have to whinge about that fact that Nic not only didn't help me load the van, but she also left 4 bags of rubbish behind - thank you very much!

Saturday, 30 June 2007. Opps, it was entirely my fault, missed the practice session at the Spanish Riding School as I just read the 2pm tour and not the email which said the practice was at 10am. Hopefully tomorrow´s gala performance will make up for it. The Spanish Riding School is beautiful, although the arena is smaller than I expected.
