Bright Weight Loss: Menu Sharing
http://brightweightloss.blogspot.com/2012/01/menu-sharing.html
Eating healthfully, Exercise and Education - my learnings about weight loss and life-long health. Tuesday, January 31, 2012. A few months ago my smart friend Colleen. Suggested I start keeping my menus on Google Calendar, a resource I already use to pieces anyway. It was a brillant idea and beat the heck out of my former paper and pencil system. What I truly love about this is that each week when I sit down to work on next week's menu, it is already loaded with lots of meals! It's public so you should ha...

Friday, May 23, 2014. The Brew Tour, Part 2. September 14-September 29, 2013. Bar Harbor, Maine. From the beginning of planning for the Caravan of Wonder, we knew that an abiding concern for Waller Grant, or at least for Major Dude, would be local craft beer. I have reported on the allure of the grain for the first 6 weeks of the trip in the post “The Beer Tour.”. Most likely it was Ommegang. Sadly, the Dude has found few beers that equal Ommegang’s, yet. A Shipyard Pumpkinhead Ale. I had almost rather w...

Taking Off: The Residual of Grace
http://www.lymangrant.com/2014/08/the-residual-of-grace.html
Friday, August 22, 2014. The Residual of Grace. We always knew that July, the last month of our year on the road, was going to be difficult. This difficulty was created by two factors. First, everything evolved from Corvalis, Oregon, on June 14. Exactly, that date and those around it. After a great deal of dedication, which included taking classes in the early months of this trip, Knightsmama was being graduated from Oregon State University. The Grave of Sitting Bull. But here it is in a quick list:.

Taking Off: Poetry, Song, and Stone
http://www.lymangrant.com/2014/08/poetry-song-and-stone.html
Sunday, August 31, 2014. Poetry, Song, and Stone. The Grave of Irving Berlin. We are on an American adventure, and sometimes I turn to American songs for advice. I am a codger, so I sometimes choose Rick Nelson. One of the recurring themes of the Caravan of Wonder is “You can’t please everyone.”. On November 13, our last day parked in Jersey City, we followed the corollary to that rule:. 8220;You’ve got to please yourself.”. So Knightsmama and I separated:. But if I had gone to the city that day, I would...

Taking Off: July 2014
http://www.lymangrant.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 25, 2014. I have two rituals when I am writing the kind of academic essays that require a greater level of concentration than I am usually willing to give to the duties of my life. You can read into the latter part of that sentence all that you want regarding my attitude toward family and work. Let’s focus on the first half of the sentence. I really like writing academic essays of some length, say, 20 pages or more, based upon primary and secondary sources and all that. Which Way Did We Go?
