Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Fall Love and a Recipe. I love fall. Actually, I love all the seasons, but right now I'm really love fall. The air is pleasantly cool and crisp, the leaves are turning bright red and orange, and its still sunny when I get out of work. What's not to love? Apple Cinnamon Steel Cut Oatmeal. 4 cups apple juice. 1 cup steel cut oatmeal aka Irish oatmeal (I use Country Choice Organic). 2 tbs cinnamon (you can add more or less depending on your preferences). irishelf knits: May 2011

http://knitknitwhat.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 24, 2011. I just go these:. Yep, those are hand carders, which I found used on etsy. They're quite old, and at first they turned my wool brown because the teeth were rusty. But I've now worked enough greasy wool through them that the rust has been cleaned out. Now, I get fluffy white rolags like you see above. The motivation to buy carders was that I finally decided to do something with this:. Tuesday, May 24, 2011. Friday, May 20, 2011. To satisfy my lace craving I picked Annis. The Corgi H...

irishelf knits: November 2010

http://knitknitwhat.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html

Tuesday, November 30, 2010. I have been a bad blogger of late. It turns out that working full time eats up a lot of free time. My job is very busy, so I have no spare day time to blog. This is complicated by the fact that I've been doing holiday knitting recently. So much of knitting can't even be shared right now. Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). http://knitknitwhat.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Saturday, July 16, 2011. FO: Sewing Machine Cover. After procrastinating for a respectable amount of time, I looked around at patterns on the internet and bought fabric. Using this. Tutorial as my guidelines I made this:. My version doesn't have a pocket, but I did a lining inside and then used double folded bias around the edge. Isn't it adorable? Can you tell those are little birds kissing? Here's a close up so you can really appreciate the cuteness:. Saturday, July 16, 2011. Sunday, July 10, 2011.

Wednesday, April 27, 2011. A diamond rain vest in Knitpicks Comfy for my sister. The back is already done so just the front to do. Nutkin Socks in Dream in Color Smooshy. They hardly count as a WIP since all I need to do is close up the toe on this sock and then weave in the ends. Yay progress! Wednesday, April 27, 2011. Monday, April 25, 2011. This year I got my birthday present early. Its my very own spinning wheel! I also learned how to Navajo ply on it and made 2 mini skeins to practice. This picture...

Knit Knit Purl Purl

My knitting projects, and other stuff. Friday, June 30, 2006. Warning this post contains high levels of 70s knitwear. Some readers of a sensitive disposition may want to look away. Knitting the Black Purl Clapotis has reminded me that I'm always nervous about making things for other people. Everything I've made so far has been well received, but I'm always suspicious that they are just being polite. I think this stems from my childhood. BTW, I don’t want you to think that I am ungrateful for the hours of...

Knit One, Purl One

Knit One, Purl One. Monday, 16 January 2012. I will keep you posted :D. Thursday, 30 June 2011. So cardi's are hard. So Cardigans are hard to knit and apparently i'm a big knitter which means everything I knit is a size bigger than what the pattern calls for. I decided to take a break and made myself some finglerless gloves as it is winter in Australia and knitting is hard when you have cold hands. Mmm snuggly and time consuming! Wednesday, 18 May 2011. Go, Cardi, Go. First Half of the sleeve. So I found...

Knit Knitty Knit Knit

Knit Knitty Knit Knit. Sunday, March 29, 2009. So I'm finally going to post Laminaria. The reason I haven't is that I wanted to get some photo's of the shawl being worn, and I just kept forgetting to get it done. So here it is at last:. And of course the knitter's perv shots:. The pattern is Laminaria. By Elizabeth Freeman from the Spring 2008 edition of Knitty. Although I changed part of the pattern, which I now think was unnecessary). There are subtle differences between all of them! So I finished Lami...

January 5, 2017 · 4:32 pm. As we all begin a new year of knitting, it’s important to have our supplies in order. Three simple tasks will make your knitting easier and more enjoyable. Clean out your yarn stash! Give partially-used skeins and colors you once liked (what were you thinking when you bought that? To your local senior center or a friend who’s into crafts. Paring it down to the yarn you actually. To use makes it easier to grab a skein and KNIT! Leftover skeins and balls of yarn take up space.

String and a couple sticks

String and a couple sticks. Wild and crazy Adventures in Knitting. Wednesday, August 05, 2015. And I was doing so well. But then, well, life happened, as it is want to do. Work got weird (weirder, really) and then my position was eliminated. So I've been stuck at home looking for work for the last two-ish weeks. I'm doing everything I can to keep from getting bored. Might be the devil) And I even cleaned my apartment, including the bathrooms and put most of my stuff out of boxes (from the moving) and away.
