Brett’s Graduation Gift. April 11, 2008 at 9:48 am Posted in Uncategorized. To watch my Firefly and Serenity DVDs this Spring…so when he graduated I thought I’d knit him a Jayne Cobb Hat. He might be the only person in my family who’d actually wear it! But I’m worried it might be a bit too big…here it is – in progress – modeled by J1 and J2:. 3 Comments ». Knitting in the new year. January 7, 2008 at 1:56 pm Posted in 2008. After Christmas I had an urge to finish things. So far all I have left is to block Baby Susannah’s dress (well, and mail it out) and my boxers. I’m making good progress on my boxers…and it feels good to be making progress. I’m not so in love with the ‘pretty in pink’ scarf I’ve been working on. Maybe it’s that I’m anxious to make some socks. I’m really excited about the Firestarter. Socks – have you seen them? http://janeaustenkal.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
The Complete Jane Austen KAL. Because Jane would have knit if she knew better. Monday, March 31, 2008. Tuesday, March 25, 2008. Emma watching but little knitting done. Saturday, March 22, 2008. First pic: Socks for my dad. My first toe-up socks, and my first men's socks. Pretty good. I used Lion Wool and a mixture of techniques that I've looked at over the years. I just used a simple rib in order to keep me from getting too confused. Here they are closer:. Looking forward to Emma,. Tuesday, March 11, 2008.
The Complete Jane Austen KAL: Sense and Sensibility

The Complete Jane Austen KAL. Because Jane would have knit if she knew better. Tuesday, April 8, 2008. I did really enjoy this version of the book-maybe even more than the movie version. I am still working on fingerless gloves-onto my 10th pair now- but I did at least work on edging the squares for my sister's afghan a little bit. here is my Ravelry secret spring swapper wearing the gloves I made him. Very "Dickensy" I must say. I could see Bob Cratchit wearing them. September 25, 2008 at 10:10 PM.

The Complete Jane Austen KAL. Because Jane would have knit if she knew better. Monday, March 31, 2008. I agree that this is pretty well done but I've always had a tough time with the character of Marianne- too smug in her righteousness. I also agree with your synopsis of P&P! The Complete Jane Austen KAL. Because Jane would have knit if she knew better. Thursday, January 31, 2008. I finished this before the KAL, and it is crochet BUT. But she looks so cute in it! Tuesday, January 29, 2008. MANSFIELD PARK and AFGHANS. I got in extra knitting on Sunday since I watched the figure skating US Nationals first. I am also teaching a co-worker to knit and it's so much fun to see her enthusiasm for it. I did enjoy Mansfield Park a little more than the first 2-I had also seen an old pro...

The Complete Jane Austen KAL. Because Jane would have knit if she knew better. Tuesday, April 1, 2008. I'm looking forward to watching Sense and Sensibility, but I too love the one with Emma Thompson and may find this one hard to compete with. Pics later today. I've finished some lacey fingerless gloves for my sister that I worked on throughout several movies, and a baby blanket for my boyfriend's sister's new baby. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://janeaustenkal.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
The Complete Jane Austen KAL. Because Jane would have knit if she knew better. Thursday, February 28, 2008. I enjoyed PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. It is hard to forgive Mr. Darcy for interfering with Jane and Mr. Bingly, but really I should be mad at Mr. Bingly for allowing himself to be interfered with. Mr. Bingly is difficult to be mad at. It would be like kicking a puppy. Wednesday, February 27, 2008. These are so much quicker than finishing that darn afghan! Sunday, February 24, 2008. They Must Be Kidding.

The Complete Jane Austen KAL. Because Jane would have knit if she knew better. Tuesday, April 1, 2008. I was watching Sense and Sensibility on Sunday while knitting my Socktopia March socks and was consumed by the desire to knit lace. Knitting and more.spinning, beading, crochet, tatting, bobbin lace, tambour, watercolor. Saturday, September 9, 2017. Last Christmas I pulled out a book I'd picked up on my travels called, "Handbook of Stitches" by Grete Petersen and Elsie Svennas. It has instructions/illustrations for families of embroidery stitches along with a project that can be used to practice the stitches. Oh, yeah, I also practiced some color work from another book. Definitely more to come on that. Posted by Dianna Smith. I've be...
