CLICK HERE FOR BLOGGER TEMPLATES. On knitting.and Pittsburgh.and knitting in Pittsburgh.oh, and other stuff. Monday, March 28, 2011. Upcycled Easter (Ostara, Eostre) grass! You know the stuff, right? The way-too-bright, crinkly-feeling, sticks-to-everything-including-your-jammies-and-hair plastic-y stuff the Easter bunny likes to line his baskets with? Plus if your cat eats it, the necessary emergency surgery to remove it from her intestines will be quite pricey. Well, that stuff has long. We did and I m...

Here are the Secret Sewing Projects I finished a couple weeks ago but had to hold back on discussing as they were birthday presents for my two lovely sisters, who yes, are twins! What are they, you ask? Why little makeup brush/tool rolls. Back of the other! I used the lovely tutorial. From Susan at Freshly Picked. At her house. Just trust me! This is a dress I LOVE! Final...

CLICK HERE FOR BLOGGER TEMPLATES. On knitting.and Pittsburgh.and knitting in Pittsburgh.oh, and other stuff. Thursday, June 16, 2011. A quick show-n-tell session. Sometimes I think the months of June and early July rival the Yuletyde season for our family. Lots of celebrations: birthdays, anniversaries, Father's Day and then the Fourth of July. Needless to say Ms. Knitsburgh has been quite busy with Old Girl (aka my sewing machine). First, a little purse for a niece turning 16 sweet years. Wee dresses fo...

A glimpse into the mayhem. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Tuesday, October 13, 2009. It's All Fun and Games. Until someone gets stitches. Love the MedExpress on 19 at Boyce Road! In and out in about 50 minutes. And a stocking for the Lil'onE. I have been working on Christmas gifts and fretting already that I am not going to get much done. Man, these kids put a crimp in my knitting time! That and those darn jewel games on facebook. hee-hee. Saturday, October 10, 2009. What can I say, boys at llbean. The Mis...

Lil'onE is almost 18 months old now. The Mister and I celebrated 12 years of wedded bliss, yesterday. The boys are in 3rd and 5th grade. We had a summer full of camping and weddings and friends and family and. it was full. But I took a picture of the girl this morning. She likes to pose. My Mister and Me.

A glimpse into the mayhem. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. I have been remiss. Not deliberately. Not only is my fabulous friend, Alison Hess. A wonderful author, but so is my fabulous former neighbor, Mike Harkins. Maybe it is because Mike is waaay over there, maybe it is just ordinary for me to have such talented, creative people swirling in my circle of friends. Either way, it is more good stuff to read. Mike's book is here. I will be reading it next. But over here. This issue is free! Albert Anker (Swiss 183...
A Family Life: Not Ordinary
http://afamilylife.blogspot.com/2011/02/not-ordinary.html
A glimpse into the mayhem. Thursday, February 17, 2011. At least, it isn't ordinary for me to be friends with a published author! My friend (she said I could claim that in public :) just published the first in her three part series about Lucie, a girl with ancient knowledge her family has protected since the beginning of memory and a Prophecy to fulfill to save the world from Darkness. And it is her birthday! Ugh, to be a teenager. It is appropriate for middle school through adult readers. My latest netf...

A glimpse into the mayhem. Monday, April 25, 2011. What was that crunching noise that I heard while I was perusing the blogosphere? Those are your brothers and how do you know that bright blue chicks wrapped in cellophane are edible? I have a birthday package for someone little and cute! Personally Ive always thought the blue and purple ones look like theyve suffocated under that cellophane. But shes a smart cookie, of course she knows theyre edible. I have one of those creatures in my house, too!

A glimpse into the mayhem. Thursday, February 18, 2010. Out of My League. I was looking for the hat that Lindsey Vonn was wearing. I do see that they are selling the opening ceremonies sweater. But only in small and x-small. Thank goodness, otherwise, I might have been tempted. Wow. I will happily knit you a cable sweater for $425. Talk nice to me and I might do it for $400. Friday, February 12, 2010. But then again, that might have been creepy. So I bought my baby food and moved along. And I know that t...

A glimpse into the mayhem. Tuesday, November 17, 2009. Not to sit down. If I keep moving, well, I keep moving. That Newton guy knew what he was talking about. Trouble is, I have a baby that needs to be fed and cuddled. This involves sitting down periodically. Then, I have trouble getting started again. I would show you all the knitting that I have done, but sekrit xmas stuff is going on here. Hopefully, I will remember to take pictures upon delivery. So, that makes this entry preeeetty boring. Knit and Pearl Boutique
Knit and Pearl Boutique. Tuesday, May 21, 2013. Spent a wonderful mother’s day with my mom and have some pictures to share. I made her a pair of socks from yarn s. He picked out, Staccato. By Shibui, and in all honesty I’m embarrassed to say that it has been more. Than just a while ago that she picked it out. On the other hand I am really happy they fit and she’s wearing them! It really was a good cinnamon roll. She also believes in a manicure very two weeks. Take care everyone and enjoy your summer.

Knits, Bits, and Bytes
Knits, Bits, and Bytes. One of my lovely sisters is expecting a baby this winter – the first grandbaby for my parents! We are all super excited and are going to completely spoil this baby. I decided to make this quilt for my sister’s birthday, inspired by one that we both independently noticed in a fabric store here in Seattle. The store is Drygoods Design. In Pioneer Square and they had an adorable quilt made with 4×4 squares of different floral fabrics separated by large squares of grey. I have had a b...

Knits By Carl | Knitting my way through college
Knitting my way through college. Summer is finally here! May 23, 2016. I’m sorry for the gap in posts, I got so busy with school and applications that I didn’t have time to stop, sit down, and write. But, it’s summer now and I’m back home in the great AK, which means more knitting and more posts! To start off, just a little update on my last posts. I had just knitted some fingerless gloves for my boyfriend’s birthday. Since then, I’ve knitted a scarf, two sets of a baby hat. A number of coffee sleeves.
