The Knittin' Coop

Friday, March 02, 2018. Thank goodness the cold of January has passed and the warmth of Spring has arrived a bit early. My crocus' are up and the trees are budding- but we all know that Virginia weather can be fickle and we are going to get cold again. So far March is coming in like a lion, overnight we had 62 mph winds and they're not due to stop till midday tomorrow! But aren't they pretty! I have a serious case of "Cast-onitis". I'm still working on my Torino Ski Sweater. Casting on for Sunset Highway.

Tuesday, June 12, 2012. Saying "Good-Bye" is so hard to do. Ace has been the best cat I've ever been owned by. He's been with me through good and bad.I've taken really good care of him over the years but the last several months he has struggled greatly. The time has come to let him go.I LOVE YOU ACE-MAN! Oh, Im so sorry Robin. Big, big hugs. Oh, I am tearing up again. So very, very sorry for your loss. Hugs! So sorry to hear about Ace. Ive enjoyed reading all the posts about him over the years. The Knittin' Coop: Yeah.....I DID!!

https://knittincoop.blogspot.com/2012/03/yeahi-did.html

Wednesday, March 21, 2012. The "yarn diet" failed on this trip.yep, I fell off the wagon! On the way home I just HAD to visit The Yarn Club. And I'm so glad that I did. I've been so excited to get started on the "baby knitting" but needed a neutral knit till we find out the gender of the "peanut" (DS #1's nickname for "him"- yes, he's wishing for a boy). I know there's the old standby of yellow and green but I want something REALLY special. Photo courtesy of Appalachian Baby Website. It's neutral, which ...

https://knittincoop.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html

Saturday, August 18, 2012. Wowover 2 months have past, where does time go? Yes, we are still missing Mr Ace.there's not a day that goes my that I don't expect him to be underfoot or visiting me while I'm having "private time" in the bathroom! I know my posts haven't included much in knitting content but not to worry, I have been very busy. Since March I've been in "Baby Knitting Mode"! The first item was a knitting kit I bought in Va Beach after my 1/2 marathon this past March. I did have to take a break...

My fuzzy life: August 2007

http://drgnflz.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html

A blog about my knitting, my cats and my life in general. Saturday, August 25, 2007. I have several finished items to share with you today. One is completely and totally done. The other well. I'll tell you about it in a moment. My Baby hat for NoSo Knit. Oh and I almost forgot:. I made a teeny sock for my sock blocker keychain! Lastly, not a FO but an update. I got my invite for Ravelry. Pick Up and Knit: Nothing Exciting Here

http://pickupandknit.blogspot.com/2008/03/nothing-exciting-here.html

Pick Up and Knit. Tuesday, March 25, 2008. I covered my agency's booth at a health fair on Saturday. Between 2,000 - 3,000 people attended, and every one of them must of coughed or sneezed in my direction. Hence, I'm home sick today. I've done nothing but sleep and eat, with maybe a little knitting, for the past 22 hours. Congrats to your son for getting a NYC coop! March 26, 2008 at 4:36 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Pick Up and Knit: Got Gauge? Forget About It!

http://pickupandknit.blogspot.com/2008/04/gauge-forget-about-it.html

Pick Up and Knit. Tuesday, April 15, 2008. I lost my head and ordered piles and piles of Pakucho in several shades from Elann.com. So this weekend I swatched. And swatched. And swatched. Then I cast on, and none of my swatches matched the garment I was aiming for. Eventually I took a chance and proceeded to design a tank top on the needles. I've always admired the Ardee Shell from Maggie's Ireland, but I'm not crazy about the high neckline. April 18, 2008 at 8:12 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Pick Up and Knit: Shopping Expedition

http://pickupandknit.blogspot.com/2008/03/shopping-expedition.html

Pick Up and Knit. Thursday, March 27, 2008. After I dropped John off at his father's house, I made a detour to Lambikin's Hideaway in Hamilton OH. I knew they carry Malabrigo worsted weight merino, but their website gave no indication that they have Malabrigo dk Silky Merino in stock. Oh is it yummy! I just had to have some. That's the Teal Feather colorway. That yarn is beautiful! March 28, 2008 at 12:26 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dayton, Ohio, United States. View my complete profile.

Pick Up and Knit: October 2007

http://pickupandknit.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html

Pick Up and Knit. Monday, October 29, 2007. Off the Back Burner. This weekend was a really nice blend of some of my favorite things. There was lots of sunshine. I drove down to the University of Cincinnati and had lunch with my son John yesterday. I finished one of Nancy’s mysteries and started another, and I did a whole lot of knitting. Friday, October 26, 2007. I still have the Japanese Vines scarf. However, I must stay focused. I've already got the following projects on the needles:. John's Scarf - wo...

Suzy's Knitting Notes: Still Here

http://suzysknittingnotes.blogspot.com/2011/07/still-here.html

My place to talk about my knitting and life in general. Wednesday, July 06, 2011. Its been a "different" year. Got laid off from my job last December. Was in a funk for a long time. I did get unemployment and my vacation time, but it does affect ones ego to be "let go" even if you did "nothing wrong". I was too used to working for my old boss I guess. No biggie, been busy doing mom things, being a housewife and moving. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Blogs I like to read.

My place to talk about my knitting and life in general. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Finished in time. Posted late. This is the blanket I made for my good friends granddaughter. The blanket I made for her (before she was born) was stolen from my friends car. She emailed me and asked if I could make another blanket before her granddaughters upcoming surgery. This is the finished product. Finished and delivered just in time! Then my sisters baby. That is another story! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Don’t put the Stockinette st pieces on the edges (good thing slip stitch comes undone easily). Remind people to cast on and bind off loosely if knitting.
