My Ireland, a knitted journey. My Ireland, a Celtic Cape knit along. Just about a year ago now, I received an invitation to join a group on Ravelry.com called 'Ryans Eejits and those that fit in' . I accepted the invitation and found a family. Then last fall, Meagheen (hereafter called Meggie! Asked who among us might be interested in knitting a Celtic cape. I think she might have been overwhelmed by the resounding response she got! To see more of this incredible artist's work, please check out Meagheen'...

During 2011 I will knitting a cape filled with boxes, cables, bobbles.and who knows what else. This will be a journey of self-discovery. The knitted cape, accompanied by socks, gauntlets, hats and scarves will be a heirloom to be passed down to future generations. Growing up we were told we had Irish blood running through our veins. A Year Long Journey "The Road Less Taken": February 2011
http://lilacs4angels2.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
A Year Long Journey "The Road Less Taken". Wednesday, February 9, 2011. I've been knitting on the facing the first part of a year long journey. I've noticed a feeling of calm and peace as the stitches go from one needle to the other. My mother passed away in 1960 when I was a little girl. Throughout the 50 plus years I have felt her presence from time to time. I know she's watching the knitting I'm doing. I like to believe she'd be proud. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
