Back to Business, Whatever That Means | taelixev

Stuff on my mind…food…yarn…. Back to Business, Whatever That Means. My recent project has been this pair of socks made of Malbrigo sock. Great stuff. Very soft. This is my second go at the socks, and I hate to admit, this is what it looked like before I frogged it the first time. I am now to the gusset part and they are still coming along. About Crazy Monkey Creates. Just another WordPress.com weblog. Sock Summit October 21, 2009. 8212; crazymonkeycreates @ 10:57 am. We weren’t the only unhappy vendors there, and everyone (who wasn’t involved) who I’ve told about our experience has said things like “Oh, but you got exposure”… except we haven’t made a single sale since Sock Summit based on our going there. One of the wholesale vendors said he usually sells completely out of his undyed yarn at the end of a show, because other vendors come up...

knit in time: IT'S ME AGAIN
http://knitintime.blogspot.com/2009/11/its-me-again.html
Sunday, November 29, 2009. Not much going on here. I am busy trying to finish a scarf and mitts set that I am knitting. My sweaters are done and ready to be wrapped. I am also working on quilts and table runners as gifts for certain people. I thought I would include a few pictures from last summer. These are four of my grandchildren, Tyler 4, Sarah 6, Cheyenne 4, and Paeton 3. They don't get to see alot of each other but when they do they are best of friends. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

March 26, 2009 at 10:19 am ( completely unrelated. Thumbs are still confusing me. Has anyone ever knitted Dashing? There’s a part where you knit the thumb stitches onto a scrap piece of yarn, then put them back on the left needle and work as normal. Doesn’t that mean that the stitches you have “live” for future use have just been knitted shut? Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. April 6, 2009 at 8:12 pm ( WIPs. So, I don’t gauge things. Unless they’re sweaters. I know I should. I just don’t. I think I’m allergic or something. I’ve finished one glove. I need to weave in the ends. I’m debating on if I should just send this off to Gimion or if I should wait until I’m done with the second. I’m also wondering why I’m knitting things for people I’ve met once and talked to via chat a lot. Sounds sort of weird eh? I’ll probably start the second one soon. April 10, 2009 at 7:23 am.

My inner smart ass is going to hell. | dragonknit

My inner smart ass is going to hell. March 18, 2009 at 2:47 pm ( fiber. I get an award for my patience. It smells like some sort of spice blend and wool. Tasty I know. This is the pile of fluff, you might recognize this from other bit of alpaca blue/green/black that I was complaining about spinning. Because I want to maintain the colors, more or less, the way they are from the initial piece of roving, I was trying to spin a big fat piece. That didn’t work out so well. That frustrated me some.

Tagline: Customize at (Settings Tagline). Knitting, whether the finished product or the actual activity, tends to conjure up warm, homey and nostalgic images. Perhaps a vision of your mother or grandmother sitting by a fireplace, the dog curled under her feet while the rapid clicking of her knitting needles lulls you into slumber comes to mind. Far from being something that has faded away with past generations, today’s modern life still benefits from this cozy craft. What makes this knitting unique?

Sweet Thang Knits
The incessant ramblings of a 40 something wife in Texas who attempts to knit, at a rather slow pace. Sunday, March 22, 2009. It's been a while. It's been a while since I last posted. So much for those new years resolutions. But life has kept me super busy. Family visits, work, etc. Today, I had the best time; I met up with three other friends for knitting and chat. They are all accomplished knitters and I am so happy to be able to be friends with them. The ladies are so very nice; and two of them...That ...
