Smitten w/ Knittin': Rhinebeck Goal
http://smittenwknittin.blogspot.com/2012/10/rhinebeck-goal.html
A self professed fiber snob talks about yarn, knitting, and more…. Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Every year I hear about this knitting urban legend.spinning directly from the bunny. I have to say that I have never really believed it. But I did find this video on YouTube:. My big goal for Rhinebeck this year to see this with my very own eyes. Anyone know where this spinner and her bunnies are located? Only 4 more days! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). New York City, New York, United States.

A self professed fiber snob talks about yarn, knitting, and more…. Sunday, October 28, 2012. As the Tri-State area braces for another main storm, I urge everyone to have their emergency supplies ready. Here are mine:. I have 5 gallons of water, bananas, nutri-grain bars, popcorn and a stockinette in the round project! PS In all seriousness, please be safe out there. Don’t go anywhere unless you have to. Saturday, October 20, 2012. Can you tell I am excited? Tuesday, October 16, 2012. Only 4 more days!
Smitten w/ Knittin': November 2012
http://smittenwknittin.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
A self professed fiber snob talks about yarn, knitting, and more…. Friday, November 2, 2012. I hope everyone is safe and dry in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. What a week for the East Coast! But enough about that! I know what you really want…to hear about Rhinebeck! A couple friends and I rented a car and drove up. The ride was full of good conversation, good music (we found a radio station that was having an 80’s marathon), knitting and beautiful scenery. And Jess from Ravelry. I know you really want...
Smitten w/ Knittin': Stripes!
http://smittenwknittin.blogspot.com/2012/09/stripes.html
A self professed fiber snob talks about yarn, knitting, and more…. Thursday, September 27, 2012. I’m not normally into stripes. Don’t get me wrong, I have always liked them, just not for me. So you can only imagine my surprise when I started thinking about the Million Stripes Loop. I saw it first on Pinterest. About a month ago and was intrigued. I kept thinking about and started stalking it on Ravelry. I finally bit the bullet and cast on for one of my own. What colors would you use? I began knitting in...
Smitten w/ Knittin': February 2011
http://smittenwknittin.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
A self professed fiber snob talks about yarn, knitting, and more…. Friday, February 4, 2011. Holy Cow, it’s been awhile since my last post. How does time get away so quickly? Today is my mom’s birthday. Unfortunately she has the winter blues. But now she has a pair of blue socks to go with. This was my first attempt at the Fleegal. Instead using a slip stich pattern on the flap for my next socks for me. I used Cascade Heritage Paints. Got a really good close-up shot of it with the lights on:. It was hard...

A self professed fiber snob talks about yarn, knitting, and more…. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Bla bla bla bla. Meet Clementine. One of the Blabla dolls. This is where I come in. The mother has commissioned me to make a costume for her daughter. A 4 year old sized Clementine. I started with the easy part. The tail:. Then I made some cute little mittens:. Pattern. I made the child's size, so I hope it fits. They were pretty fast too. The hard part so far? Helmet pattern. But it wasn't quite right:.
Smitten w/ Knittin': July 2010
http://smittenwknittin.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
A self professed fiber snob talks about yarn, knitting, and more…. Thursday, July 15, 2010. I was sitting in the park at lunch today, knitting on my noro sock and thinking of my in progress list, when I remembered a project not on the list! It is hibernating (and for whatever reason I never put it on Ravelry. Order was shipped the day. It is currently in Edison, NJ according to the FedEx website. But it says it’s not due until Monday. Why? Tuesday, July 13, 2010. I must be the WORST blogger ever! 6 A twe...

A self professed fiber snob talks about yarn, knitting, and more…. Monday, November 29, 2010. I went to Macy’s about a week ago and saw the coolest Christmas decoration. A yarn tree:. Here is a close up shot:. It is a wire tree frame that is wrapped in yarn and has balls of yarn tied to it. How cool is that! I totally want to make one! Can you imagine it all in green yarns with some green Christmas lights on it (not sure if that would be a fire hazard) and some silver balls? Sunday, November 28, 2010.

It's a good day when yarn comes in the mail. Monday, January 1, 2018. The Great Adventure 2017 Part Twelve - Last Stop, London! We arrived in London by train from Oxford on Thursday morning, Oct. 12. After deciding that we didn't want to figure out the Tube while dealing with our luggage, we took a taxi to our hotel. We did buy our travel cards at the station so we were all set for tackling the underground later that night. This was our smallest room yet but worked for what we used it for. There were cos...

Thursday, March 12, 2009. Ah, back in New Jersey after a couple of months in lovely Punta Gorda, Florida, where I had rented a beautiful condo, with a huge lanai. There were plenty of manatees to greet me on my walks around the marina. . This was the view from my lanai -. And this was the path I took on my morning walks -. 160;Anyway, my condo was about 1 mile from my friends' house, both within the gated community of Burnt Store Marina. 160; It is just beautiful there. . They aren't quite as good as ...
