Knitting It Through

Knitting has helped me through illness, surviving ******, assault, and dealing with homophobia. So when has your knitting helped you? Friday, April 14, 2006. Why do they act the way they do? It hurts. Oh G-d the pain of it all. They should know better. Why? Posted by Knitting It Through at 4:43 am. Wednesday, April 12, 2006. So my partner's mum has been here for some time now. They love each other very much (and they both love me too). It has been good, but. My family is insane! Saturday, April 08, 2006.

Knitting It Through: March 2006

http://knittingitthrough.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html

Knitting has helped me through illness, surviving sexual, assault, and dealing with homophobia. So when has your knitting helped you? Saturday, March 25, 2006. You know this world can be really depressing. I can hear the sarcasm, but just be patient for a second. Violence is everywhere; it can be so overwhelming. Bombs, violent crime, enviromental destruction. It can drain you dry. Especially when it becomes personal. When it hits home and the cozy little world you've built is torn apart. I will not tole...

Crazy Cat Lady: Head-Start

Crazy Cat Lady: Head-Start. Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Finishing up my second scarf, picture to be added when I get home. the yarn skeins I used had much thicker yarn, but were also way shorter to I had to get five balls and tie the yarn together. It made the edges kind of uneven, but so far the stitches themselves have been doing pretty well. Friday, November 13, 2015. Friday, October 9, 2015. Friday, September 18, 2015. Friday, June 27, 2008. I really do knit! It's been awhile. I know. It's been so long that I have four FO's and will soon finish my first pair of two at a time, toe up, on one long circular needle socks. (wow, that was a mouth full). Anyway, here are a few photos of my Mother's Birthday Bag. I just love this bag and hope to make one for myself. Pattern: Tulip Tote for NONI by Nora J. Bellows. Yarn: 8 skeins Ella Rae Classic Color 26. Needles: Size 11 32" Circulars. Sunday, March 16, 2008. That time of year.

Knitting it old school with E to the D to the I to the E

Monday, January 09, 2012. Coconut Mocha Frappe - the adulterated version. I went to my handy dandy computer and began searching for recipes for Godiva Liqueur recipes. I noticed quickly that I didn't have many of the ingredients or other liquors called for in the recipes. Then i found this one. The first step is to make simple syrup. Ok, I can do that. Step two called for combining all the ingredients and freezing for two hours. Ummm, no. That is definitely not gonna happen. 1 50ml Godiva Liqueur. Less s...

World of JDub | knitting, spinning, quilting, sewing, toddler wrangling, and owned by a Boston Terrier

Knitting, spinning, quilting, sewing, toddler wrangling, and owned by a Boston Terrier. July 3, 2014. Clearly I’m not much of a blogger. But, I’ve been thinking about trying again. So, it’s been a couple years and a lot has changed. Quick review:. 1) Still in Seattle. 2) Now married (I’m still JDub on ravelry, but perhaps JessFar is a more appropriate handle. We’ll cross that bridge eventually). 3) Baby girl is 2 1/2. 4) Still knitting, spinning and sewing. 5) Still working, but a new job. May 23, 2009.

Susan's Knitting Socks!

Yes, I am knitting socks! Taking photos and sharing them. Saturday, August 08, 2015. How long has it been since I've paid any attention to this blog? Yes, there has been knitting going on. Not a lot of successful finishes, though. Let me see. That brings me to organization. As you can see, it is a work in progress. Some yarn gets organized, then the mail man brings more. I'm moving some up to our cabin to my future craft room up there. This is how that looks right now. Links to this post. Etsy, you will ...

Thank you for visiting! For knitting information, please select a photo. All the women knitted. They knitted worthless things; but, the mechanical work was a mechanical substitute for eating and drinking: the hands moved for the jaws and the digestive apparatus: if the bony fingers had been still, the stomachs would have been more famine-pinched.". Coffee ‘n Cream Scarf. January 8, 2008. I used a simple garter stitch with 1 strand brown yarn and 1 strand tan yarn held together as one (hence the name “Coffee ‘n Cream”). It is big and fuzzy and chunky. Finished size is about 7″ by 56″. Shetland Chunky (Earthy Brown). Alpaca Natural Blends (Wheat). January 7, 2008. When I spotted this yarn at Michael’s. In real life, it has more black than what appears in the first photo. I consider it my “black scarf full of color”. Hubby’s Big Manly-Man Scarf. And h...
