Knitting to Distraction

The mailman is my friend. See what he brought me on friday? My coffee swap partner, Sheri. Really outdid herself. On the edible side of things, there was two pounds of coffee, chocolate (dark and milk with hazelnuts), dark chocolate covered macadamia nuts (very yummy and very gone), and chocolate mint covered graham crackers (gone just as fast as the nuts). There was also a really pretty mug, and a funky lime green flower. I love that shade of green! The first is from Spritely Goods. I've always heard of...

Knitting to Distraction: Caffeinated goodness

http://knittingtodistraction.blogspot.com/2007/04/caffeinated-goodness.html

The little bug was nice to her mommy this morning, so I actually managed to get my questions for the Knitters' Coffee Swap. Answered. I've been dreadful about getting things done lately, so I was really afraid that I was going to leave my partner Sheri. Hanging on this one. While you're at it, do go check out her shop. She has a drool worthy selection of sock yarn there. 1 Whole bean or ground? Whole bean, the fresher the better. 2 Fully-loaded or decaf? 3 Regular or flavored? 5 Favorite coffee ever?

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Tea, tea and more tea. I don't think I'm capable of buying just one tea. Even though I knew exactly what I needed, I still had to browse thorough their selection to see what else I wanted. My kitchen counter is now covered in bags of new teas to try, and needless to say, I am in heaven. Here's what I just couldn't say no to:. Keemun Hao Ya A. Big Red Robe Oolong. Knitting to Distraction: May 2007

I've always heard of the amazing generosity of knitters. Hell, I'm a knitter and I'd like to think I'm at least fairly generous. I never truly expected to be on the receiving end of such generosity though. So needless to say, today's mail held quite the surprise for me. First off, a little background is needed. Earlier this week Lorette. When I opened the package I recieved today, my jaw nearly hit the floor. Here's what was inside:. And some gorgeous yarn I just got from Hello Yarn. Sleep is for the weak.

A Celebration of Knitting- Hilltop Style. Monday, December 31, 2007. We have kits in to knit this beautiful sweater from Perl Grey. In lovely Ottawa yarn from Fleece Artist. I knit this sample for the store in a very short time, as the pattern is primarily stockinette with very little seaming. I think it looks very good on, if I do say so myself! Easy to dress up or down. Comfortable and a quick knit. Posted by Katherine Chapman @ 12:41 PM. Links to this post. Links to this post:. Get Your Hooks Out!

Decidedly Hilltop: Washable, kid-friendly yarns

http://hilltopyarn.blogspot.com/2008/04/washable-kid-friendly-yarns.html

A Celebration of Knitting- Hilltop Style. Saturday, April 26, 2008. Washable, kid-friendly yarns. In our "after the fire" re-examination of our yarn brands and products, we went for the big Berroco add, and picked up many of their kid- and machine-washer-friendly yarns. I'm tempted (as always) to buy projects to try out all the new yarns. My nephews' first birthday is coming up in June, so this funky doggie sweater in the "Just for Tots" Comfort DK book might be a good excuse to try that line. If you're ...

Betsy Blog: Happy Halloween

http://bitsblog.blogspot.com/2007/10/happy-halloween.html

Wednesday, October 31, 2007. So much candy for Halloween, my teeth hurt! I was going to be a Spider, a Ghost, Cinderella, or a Baker. I couldn't decide. so I looked online and a few hours later (into the wee hours of Halloween) I became a. Or Joan of Arc. My favorite part was the cape. Birddog made the little money sash-coin purse, a perfect touch for the costume. I'll be Super Bits! Oh, another super creation. I love the Pirate, such a cutie! Posted by Betsy Rocks @ 11:57 AM. Wednesday, March 05, 2008. Fizz, Fizzle, Fizzy! As much as we wanted to keep Fizzle, we knew we were not the right home for her. She'll need someone who can work with her during the day and coax her out of her separation issues. Sadly we brought her back to the shelter where she'll be until the right person sees the wonderful potential she has and brings her into their family and into her new forever home. Check out the Seattle Animal Shelter. Posted by Betsy Rocks @ 10:20 AM. At 1/28/2013 8:46 PM.
