Hippy Housewives Need To Eat, Too!: Six.
http://hippyhousewifecooks.blogspot.com/2008/08/six.html
Hippy Housewives Need To Eat, Too! Monday, August 11, 2008. My daughter turned six yesterday. SIX! But this is about the food, so. The cake, which I think sucked but everyone else liked. At least it tasted good. Taco salad, which I just finished off myself last night. Chocolate covered strawberries. Um. need I comment? Aaaaand multicolor rice-crispy treats. Very fruity and a little too sweet but the kids liked them a lot. Monday, August 11, 2008. August 12, 2008 at 11:18 PM. September 2, 2008 at 9:50 PM.

Knit Wit on the Prairies: May 2014
http://prairieknitwit.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 9, 2014. If you follow me on Facebook, none of this is news. Just before Christmas, our beloved Basset Hound, Lucy passed away. She had 15 years with our family and we loved her dearly. She was a very special dog and I still miss her every day. In fact, I am getting teary right now, thinking about her. Our kids have been asking and asking for another dog. It's too soon. 15 years is a long time. The grown-ups in the house are not ready to open their hearts up to another dog just yet. Asystole ...

Knit Wit on the Prairies: September 2013
http://prairieknitwit.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 8, 2013. Did I skip blogging in the whole month of August? I don't need to ask how that happened. As I mentioned in my last post, I found myself a little part-time job in a children's clothing store at the mall. August is prime time for back to school shopping so I was working lots of extra hours. Re-entering the workforce after a few years off on top of changing careers entirely has taken some adjusting from everyone in the family. In the meantime, this happened:. Now you are six.

Knit Wit on the Prairies: June 2013
http://prairieknitwit.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 16, 2013. You started out so small. You needed us for everything. Now, you do stuff like make your own breakfast, play Minecraft and go to Scout Camp all by yourself. You started out not talking to us at all. Now all you do is talk about Mario, Yu Gi Oh and Pokemon (and Minecraft). You wear adult-sized shoes and are getting perilously close to being as tall as your Mom. Ten years. Time flies! Keep on growing, Buddy. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Monday, March 17, 2014. What's better than a fresh hair cut on a dreary March day? A FREE fresh hair cut! Truth is, I would have gladly paid for the hair cut anyway. I am a Mom. Being forced to sit somewhere and drink coffee and read trashy magazines without the laundry that needs folding staring at you is a treat, not an inconvenience! Happy Monday to me. Haha, no kidding. But what a great treat! 9:09 AM, March 19, 2014. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Prairie Knit Wit Cooks.

Knit Wit on the Prairies: November 2013
http://prairieknitwit.blogspot.com/2013_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 2, 2013. I should have posted this yesterday. This post is mostly for my parents and Ami. Hallow e'en was a couple of days ago. The kids were really excited about about costumes and Trick-or-Treating, as usual. Here are their costumes:. Charlotte designed this year's pumpkin. I usually make much more elaborate designs, but I have never received as many compliments on a pumpkin as I have this year. That seals it. Charlotte is now our official Pumpkin Designer. Hippy Housewives Need To Eat, Too!: Bento, Baby!
http://hippyhousewifecooks.blogspot.com/2008/08/bento-baby.html
Hippy Housewives Need To Eat, Too! Wednesday, August 27, 2008. I have recently become seriously obsessed with Bento. And after bugging the crap out of a lovely internet friend. Demanding all of her knowledge on the subject, I set out to create my own for the very first time. I practiced on our dinner, and this is what I came up with. Pink food-colored rice, carrot confetti, shapes cut out from cheese, broccoli grass, tomato and cheese flowers, and a plum flower in vanilla yogurt with gummis to decorate.
