A weblog by Andy Piper about technology, photography, and life. Getting inside Cloud Foundry for debug (and profit? February 17, 2014. I’ve recently started to play with some more of the internals of Cloud Foundry than I’ve been used to. This has been made much easier by the advent of bosh-lite. I don’t intend to spend this post documenting how to install bosh-lite and get a running single-node Cloud Foundry system. I followed the instructions in the README. Flag when you bring your Vagrant image up (tha...

A weblog by Andy Piper about technology, photography, and life. Tag Archives: developer advocacy. July 1, 2014. I’ve been settling into my new role. Over the past few months. I’m a Developer Advocate on the Developer and Platform Relations team, based out of a beautiful new London office we opened a few weeks ago. And more recently at GOTO in Amsterdam. In a recent post over on the Twitter Developer blog I’ve written a little bit more about why I was excited to join this amazing team. 44 20 3287 1302.

Fist pass TRÅDFRI MQTT Bridge. I’ve been working on integrating the new IKEA TRÅDFRI Lights. Into my Home Automation system. I’d really like a native NodeJS system so I can plug it directly into Node-RED, but I’ve not found a working CoAP over DTLS setup just yet. So in the mean time I’ve been working on a very basic MQTT to CoAP client bridge in Java using the Eclipse Californium. It still needs some work, but here is the first pass:. I’ve tagged the code onto the gist. For Sockets the node sets the.

Roo Reynolds - What's Next? Posted by Roo - 13/03/15 at 03:03:25 pm. I was asked to give a short talk to some colleagues about product management. I opted to share some brief attempts to define it. This is hard, so I pointed to other people’s attempts. Next I shared what I think are the characteristics of good product management. This bit, since it was just my current opinions, was both easy and fun. Here are the slides. March 13, 2015 presentations. Comments Off on Good product management. I’ve always l...

Welcome one and all! Android on the O2 Joggler. March 22, 2011 · Posted in Tech. Last year I bought an O2 Joggler for the rather bargain price of 50 from my local O2 shop. A few weeks later I returned to see if I could buy another one, but they were out of stock and weren’t sure when they would get another one in. It later transpired that O2 have discontinued this line, which is a shame as it’s potentially an excellent product. The standard apps are all quite usable though and well designed. For a wh...

I recently went out-of-contract on my HTC Desire and, given that it was also out of warranty, I decided to try rooting it. This is not something I entered into lightly, as I depend on my phone for everyday usage but I decided that even if I bricked it, I could get a replacement phone within a few days.
