As I See It. Monday, August 29, 2011. The Gift of Rain and Hummingbird Wars. This morning we had RAIN! Glorious, glorious rain! I settled on the patio with my coffee and camera and thoroughly enjoyed the cooler air and the fresh scent and sweet sounds of rain. As I See It. Wednesday, April 1, 2015. Tis the Ah-Chooo Season! Well I've been waiting and wishing for winter to be over. And spring to begin. It has. Weeds are "springing" up alllll over! Husband's heart surgery and rehab last year hindered all but basic lawn care so this year is a riot of lovely yellow dandelions and purple blooming henbit! Dandelion root is a registered drug in Canada, sold principally as a diuretic. T officinale is food for the caterpillars of several Lepidoptera (butterflies and mot...

As I See It. Monday, November 28, 2011. A photo by Sparky2*. However . when it had just hit me that I hadn't made that special cake I got a call from my youngest daughter, Kelly . "Mom, I still have a half of Nonnie's last Applesauce cake in the freezer; should I bring it? So the tradition continued without that dreaded misstep. :-). I personally had much, much to be thankful for this year. I hope you all did as well, and had a wonderful love-filled holiday. We make our journey home. We know our roles.
