My thoughts on my family's journey raising our Korean children. Tuesday, November 10, 2009. The Gift of Language. Well, we still have a long way to go. For my kids, it is a matter of feeling that they belong. When we were on the subway in Seoul back in April there were times it was very obvious that people near us were talking about us. Both kids said they wanted to learn Korean so they could know what was being said about them! Time to study Korean! Sunday, November 1, 2009. I have been following the wo...

My thoughts on my family's journey raising our Korean children. Monday, July 5, 2010. I just realized how quickly my trip is approaching! Where we are staying with the parents of a friend of mine - they are so sweet and kind to us. The next day we will take a bus to Goseong and pick up my son's younger brother who will come to Busan to stay with us for several days while my son's Halmoni is working. This is great! These past few weeks have been horrible in terms of my Korean studies. I haven’t had the time or energy to even think about opening my textbooks. I haven’t had a full week of it, yet I’m still trying to put it all together in my head. When will I dedicate time to do homework? When will I have time to have a break? Will my performance as a student and an employee suffer? I was picking out certa...
