When the consul is checking the names on the stub that I gave him I can already see the stickers so when I got our passports, I gave my future mom in law a wide smile and 2 thumbs up! My search for my birth family. Thursday, June 19, 2014. Officially back in korea. This is my last try with my birth family search. In jeju-do currently, but fly to seoul tomorrow morning. Snapshots from the Korean War
More than 5.7 million Americans served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953. The U.S. Department of Defense chronicled our country's involvement through photographs, a collection of which found its way into the care of local Korean War veteran Betty Perkins-Carpenter. Now, Perkins-Carpenter would like to pass on these original photos, which remain in excellent quality, to the men and women pictured in them or their families.
