Or How life sneaks up on you when you least expect it! Saturday, April 18, 2009. In education Spring is a time of stress. According to my Yoga instructor the same is true for our spiritual energy. Apparently growth and renewal are hard work in any venue. Spiritually, the hard work of discipline and self assessment will result in a stronger, more centered life. Educationally, does this mean we can expect to experience gains proportionately equal to the pressure we've been experiencing? Thanks to tenure, a...

Or How life sneaks up on you when you least expect it! Saturday, February 28, 2009. My own personal "Blue Zone". We were in South Carolina last week, a result of luck and timing had my 50 th. Birthday and the school's winter break overlap perfectly. While I was recuperating from the 2 nd. Set of nasty germs and week long illnesses passed along by my middle schoolers. And the weather was less than balmy, it was very relaxing! D By Wednesday, however, the weather was warming and I was drug free! Spa day fo...

Or How life sneaks up on you when you least expect it! Thursday, August 27, 2009. In the Middle of.Learning through Living. Relocating to a different area of the country, even temporarily, opens up many opportunities for learning. Some of these we seek out and others seek us out. Recently Murphy and I were exposed to some things I would have preferred not to learn about, but such is life. Two weeks of daily visits to the Myrtle Beach dog park, two weeks of frolicking in the pond, rolling in the dirt and ...

Or How life sneaks up on you when you least expect it! Friday, May 29, 2009. In the middle of.swine flu and oven fires. Wait it out and climb out onto the adjacent roof when necessary? Luckily we did not have to act on our plan B's; the call to return to the building was made. The fire had been in the oven in the "foods" classroom and was extinguished quickly and without further incident. Let this be a lesson to us all-Never ignore a fire alarm! Links to this post. El Gallo en Salamanca: Mike visited, yay!!
http://emigator.blogspot.com/2009/11/mike-visited-yay.html
Sunday, November 15, 2009. Mike visited, yay! Last weekend Mike got to come and visit which was really exciting. He was here Thursday-Tuesday and we had a really good time. Basically we saw the usual Salamanca sites (that takes all of a day), hung out with my friends here, and Marisol cooked a special lunch one day. And I wish I lived in the apartment-hotel thing that we stayed in because it was so close to everything! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). El Gallo en Salamanca. View my complete profile.
